Over 7 years we have had some great delivery guys from OzHarvestSA. Stef and Jon are no exception
Now both working in Admin, we were so excited they offered to help us last Friday morning. Truly a perfect fit, thank you both so much. You just stepped up, gave so much of yourselves and left our breakfast in a better place.
One stipulation was we must get a group photo, sadly we did not!

Each Friday CHATS hold 15 free raffles at our breakfast.
Loved seeing this photo of Kyms family dinner last night after winning our pack of Greek pilaf along with chicken breasts. I can see other items rescued with donated veggies from Foodbank and OzHarvestSA.

Thanks Marcus from OzHarvestSA for beautiful flowers presented to every winner received this week.

Kym loves cooking and to encourage others CHATS will be holding a cooking class in July at OzHarvestSA to turn rescued food into nourishing meals thanks to sponsorship from the Lillis Foundation

You may have seen the recent media articles on Fruit Share Adelaide, an amazing volunteer organisation harvesting fruit to share with charities across Adelaide.

Last week we were desperately seeking fruit when all of a sudden a call came from the wonderful Amanda to offer us pears for this week's fruit and veg table.

The recommended 2 serves of fruit per day can certainly add to the shopping budget, a deal breaker for many families.

Thanks to Fruit Share for helping to ease the burden. Our visitors will be in for a treat this week.

Please join a wonderful group sleeping out in their cars to raise funds for those doing it tough. This is our 4th year and it truly is a wonderful night.
We have all the comforts within Harts Mill and then retire to our cars to sleep. As someone said "it's like camping with your new friends"
We have two other options in ways you could help

We think our volunteers are magical so what a better way to celebrate National Volunteers Week than holding a very special lunch at The Alberton Hotel.

We had a surprise visit from a magician to create some fun and laughter.

As a 100% volunteer organisation where no one is paid and no visitors pay for goods, today was a lovely way to celebrate our volunteers for the kindness they show week after week. Big thank to all.

EG you buy a $2.00 ticket from CHATS that $2.00 comes 100% to us, and you have the chance of winning not only a car but a heap of other prizes. A win/win.
