🌿 Come and walk with us! 🌳🤸🏿‍♂️

We’re delighted to launch our Inclusive Community Walks, and we’d love you to join us! 💚

Our first walk will be a gentle stroll around beautiful Pittville Park in Cheltenham, with the option to enjoy a cuppa or an ice cream afterwards! ☕🍦

📍 Meet at Central Cross Café, Pittville Park

These walks are all about fresh air, connection and spending time together, with no pressure to keep up or walk a particular distance.

🌱 Join us for the whole walk, wander for a little while and leave when you’ve had enough, or simply come along for the company. It’s entirely up to you!

🐕 Dogs on leads are very welcome.

🚗 Parking: There’s plenty of free parking along the roads beside the park, or a paid car park near the Pump Room.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re coming on your own, with a friend or with your four-legged companion, we’d love to see you.

No pressure, no expectations, just a lovely opportunity to get outdoors and connect with others. 💚

What a lovely morning at today’s Know Your Patch session at Stroud District Council with GL11 Community Hub 💚

Creative Sustainability led a fabulous workshop, giving us space to reflect on disability, question our assumptions and get to know one another through creativity.

We were invited to make a badge for someone we didn’t know. I made a crown for my workshop partner 👑 and you can see me wearing my wonderfully bright and colourful badge in the photo!

There’s something lovely about getting to know someone while your hands are busy creating. It takes some of the pressure out of meeting new people, makes room for conversation and brings a bit of fun into the mix. 🎨✨

🌱 We have something lovely to share… introducing Tall Tree, our new market garden in Lydney! 💚

This is our first public mention, and we’d love our neurodivergent community to come and help us get things growing.

Join us this Sunday, 11 October, at 11am for some gardening, warm soup and community company. We’ll be tidying the grass and cutting back brambles around the outside of the market garden, then planting a couple of hundred spring bulbs so we have something spectacular to look forward to! 🌷🌼

🧤 Bring gardening gloves and a hand tool if you have them, and wear clothes and shoes you’re happy to get muddy.

🥣 I’ll be bringing a soup kettle full of lentil and pepper soup to share. Bring a mug and spoon, and some bread if you fancy.

🚶 Afterwards, anyone who’d like to can join us for a local walk, with a cuppa at Ta**us Crafts to finish if we still have the energy!

Follow the signs to Tall Tree, about a minute’s walk away, and join in the neurodivergent community fun!

🚨 TWO DAYS LEFT! 🚨

Our ARFID Pantry crowdfunder finishes in just two days, and honestly, our community has been absolutely incredible. ❤️

The wonderful Not A Cult Comedy somehow survived a 12-hour Improvathon 😅 and raised an amazing £1,000 in donations during it!

They also secured support from a brilliant local company who pledged up to £500 in match funding, and they absolutely smashed the target needed to unlock the full £500. 🙌

And that’s before we even add the ticket sales!

They’re still recovering. We’re still slightly in awe. 😂

It’s amazing what neurodivergent people can achieve when we’re given the space to follow our passions, use our strengths and throw ourselves wholeheartedly into the things we care about.

We are so proud of our neurodivergent community supporting one another. 💛

Now we need one final push.

A table full of ideas at Cheltenham Town Hall today! 💡

Nicki and I are at Barnwood Trust’s Investing in Change event, and we’ve found excellent company in Jo from ND SEND Specialists.

Today is about celebrating the Gloucestershire organisations working to make life better for disabled people and people with mental health conditions, sharing what we’ve learned, and finding new ways to work together.

We’ve barely got started and the conversation at our table is already lively. I may need a bigger notebook… 😂💜

🎄 Can anyone help our Youth Council find an October event? 🍰

Our brilliant young people have set themselves a challenge for the run-up to Christmas.

They want to raise enough money to put together 30 Christmas food boxes for local families who are struggling, but importantly, they don’t want to make generic boxes full of food that families might not actually be able to eat.

Families will be able to choose what goes into their box, say no thank you to things they won’t use, and request alternatives that work for them, including safe foods for ARFID, allergies, dietary requirements and sensory needs. We’re also hoping each box will include a food voucher so families have choice over their fresh Christmas food too.

Their fundraising target is £1,200 and they’re going to work for it!

Their first plan is a good old-fashioned cake sale. 🧁

So we’re looking for a community event, fair, market, open day or similar happening somewhere in Gloucestershire during October that might be willing to give our Youth Council a small table or space to sell cakes and tell people about their Christmas project.

Ideally we’d love the pitch/table to be donated so that everything they raise can go directly towards the Christmas boxes.

💚 Comedy, community and a whole lot of duck-related chaos… 🦆😂

In this video, one of today’s improvisers shares their experience of being part of the ND Hub community. Hearing what that connection means to someone is a lovely reminder of why we do what we do.

Today, .a.cult.comedy Comedy, Comic Sans Script and their guests are taking on TWELVE HOURS of improvised comedy to support ND Hub Gloucestershire! 🎭

There are games, spontaneous songs, audience suggestions and scenes that take some VERY unexpected turns. Come and meet likeminded people, join in or just enjoy the shenanigans with our ND family.

I’m at the Improvathon and there are some VERY questionable duck-related shenanigans happening on stage… 😂 Quite how we got here is anyone’s guess. Including the performers’!

We had a bit of our own chaos getting here this morning, but the marathon has finished and the roads are back open! So come and join us for some entirely intentional chaos at Cheltenham Playhouse 🎭
