Bright Autumn Festival

Bright Autumn Festival The Festival is a 10 day celebration of the autumn colours and local harvest. 24 Apr - 3 May 2026 The festival takes place this year from April 22nd to May 1st.

The Bright Autumn Festival is a ten day celebration of the wonderful autumn colours and autumn produce of the valleys of Victoria's Alpine High Country. Highlights will include the Wandi Nut Festival on April 23rd, open gardens, art exhibitions, the Ambassador's Ball, evening entertainment, guided tours and the always popular Gala Day on April 30th. This year our theme will be celebrating Alpine l

ife in the valleys. The festival is put on each year by a volunteer committee, with the Rotary Club of Bright and the Alpine Shire as major sponsors.

Due to the rain the Bright Cemetery Tour and the evening Murder Mysteries Tour have been cancelled.

The Freeburgh Market and the Bright Brewery Sunday Session are going ahead as planned.

Another fantastic Gala Day comes to an end. A special thanks to all the local community groups that participated in the parade. All winners in our view but our judges have determined as this year's float winners:

Best Outstanding Float Incorporating the theme - Harrietville Primary School
Best Float - Porepunkah Primary School (Special Mention Bright P12)
Best School/ Youth Group - Alpine Children's Centre
Best Community Group - Alpine Cycling Club
Best Emergency Services - Bright SES
Best Commercial - Beechworth Bakery
Most Humorous - Bright Tennis Club

Have you been enjoying all the beautiful open gardens this week? We're so thankful to each garden for opening up their homes and businesses for visitors. We'd also like to give a warm welcome to a new open garden this year.

🍂 Welcome Peetsfield!
The garden was first established in 1982 with tree planting taking precedence. It is a much loved country garden which has grown into a mini park over the years. There is an assortment of unusual trees underplanted with European shrubs and flowers.

Pop out to see them at 92 Caloutas Lane, Freeburgh.
Open until 4pm today.
