45 humans, 1 art gallery, zero judgement.

Look at this room. The biggest AMSG Imperfects podcast club meetup yet - and it didn’t feel loud or overwhelming. Just sharing, listening and learning from our local psychologists, GPs and community voices.

Huge thanks to Bright Art Gallery and Cultural Centre for letting us borrow this beautiful space. In our small town, getting 45 people in a room to talk ADHD felt like magic.

There’s something special about talking emotions surrounded by art.

See you at the next one.

🎧

This month’s Imperfects Podcast Club is built around an episode on ADHD, but honestly, the conversation is about something much bigger than ADHD.

It’s about knowing what needs to happen and still struggling to do it.

It’s about being hard on yourself when things that seem easy for other people feel strangely difficult.

Joining us tonight are local psychologists Dr Claire Chandler and Megan Hollingworth, and we’ll be exploring what this actually looks like in real life for people living in Bright — not just in podcasts, Instagram posts or diagnosis videos.

Arrive from 6pm to check out the Thomas Lawler exhibition. Discussion starts at 6:30pm at Bright Art Gallery.

See you tonight!

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds you what community is all about.

What started as a pile of steel, panels and plans quickly became something much more, as an incredible group of volunteers came together to begin constructing our new Hub – a dedicated community space for women to connect, learn, create and support one another.

There was plenty of hard work, but also plenty of laughter, problem-solving, coffee, learning and shared stories along the way and together we achieved far more than any of us could have done alone.

One of the things we love most about AMSG is that it’s never really about the project itself. It’s about the conversations, friendships, skills and confidence that are built along the way.

The Hub is still a work in progress, but yesterday was a huge milestone and a reminder of what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose.

A huge thank you to every volunteer, supporter and local business that has helped bring this vision to life. We can’t wait to share the next chapter with you.

And yes, there was a lot of coffee involved…

Such a fun night at our first Women’s Bouldering Session with

So much laughter, encouragement and good energy as we learnt the basics of climbing — from hand holds to movement, balance and problem solving on the wall. It was incredible seeing everyone step outside their comfort zones, give things a go and cheer each other on.

Huge thanks to Tia for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment and sharing her knowledge so generously throughout the session 🙌

And a big thank you to for supporting programs like this and helping create more opportunities for women to connect, learn new skills and try something different in our community 💛

Already excited for the next one in June!! More info to come.

We’ve been loving the momentum building through our Micro Skills sessions over the past few months.

Micro Skills is all about learning the little, practical things we don’t always get taught — the everyday skills that make life easier, build confidence, and help you feel more capable in your own space.

From learning how to confidently use a drill, to patching and plastering walls (and realising it’s not nearly as scary as it sounds), these sessions are about giving things a go in a relaxed, supportive environment.

It’s practical, it’s social, and it’s exactly what AMSG is about — women learning from each other and building skills for life.

Next up… we’re heading into sewing - a perfect Winter skill to add to the toolkit!! (more details to follow).

We’ll be rolling out a full Winter Micro Skills series soon, so stay tuned: Third Thursday of every month

Come along, bring a friend, and keep building your skills with us.

What a weekend at the Wandi Nut Festival!

A massive thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who jumped in to crack, roast and sell chestnuts. From Thursday night prep through to a big Saturday, you brought the energy, the laughs and kept everything running smoothly.

It’s no small effort giving up your time, and we’re so grateful for everyone who got involved.

There was such a great vibe across the whole weekend and we hope everyone who came along had as much fun as we did!!

A big thank you and congrats to the organisers 🙌
