We would like to invite you to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pooraka Farm Community Centre for 2026.

The AGM is an important event where we reflect on the past year’s achievements and look forward to future plans for our community centre.

Time: Drinks and nibbles will be served at 6:00 pm, and the AGM will commence at 6:30 pm.
Location: Pooraka Farm Community Centre, 126 Henderson Avenue, Pooraka.

We are excited to have Sophia Katari the Centre Coordinator of Junction Community Centre who will speak on a campaign they created called “Racism: It’s Not Just Black & White” the program developed local anti-racism educational initiatives and community workshops aimed at fostering cultural diversity, inclusion, and trust.

The Vietnam Veterans held every year on the 18th of August has been an important part of Pooraka Farm Community Centre’s calender each year since its inception and it is one we feel deeply privileged to be able to provide support, food, a cuppa and space for the Veterans and their families to sit and chat after the ceremony.

We would like to thank everyone involved including City of Salisbury, Vietnam Veterans Northern Sub Branch, Salisbury RSL, Staff and Volunteers at our centre, Lions Club of Paralowie for running the BBQ and The Fabulous Baker Boys for donating bread.

INTRODUCTION TO CARPENTRY - FREE TRAINING

Starting October 15th 2026
9:30am-2:30pm

This program will help you develop the basic skills and knowledge related to the carpentry trade. The course will include work health and safety, hands-on carpentry tool skills, communication skills and a White Card*. You will also be supported to explore the carpentry trade and create a plan for work, further study, or personal growth.

This course runs on Mondays and selected Thursdays, and Fridays.

Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (CPCWHS1001) with CITC (RTO 0647). Participants will receive a statement of attainment on completion of program.
