Wednesday mornings 9.30 -11.30am Enjoy morning tea while your child has fun and laughter in a safe environment.

Come along for a fun filled morning of activities including craft, painting, playdough, water play, story time, box construction and loads more. Our co-ordinator Nicole has experience in Early Childhood Education plus 2 children of her own.

Busy Bees Playgroup!

🦖 Dinosaur Day 🦕

We had a lovely dinosaur‑themed morning at Busy Bees today! The funniest part was that I didn’t tell anyone the theme… yet we had all boys today and most of them arrived wearing dinosaur clothes 😆. Perfect timing! 👌

We had a dinosaur table with dinosaurs, plants, and a patch of pretend grass for small‑world sensory play. For craft, the children made dinosaur stamping pictures, exploring shapes and patterns with lots of colour.

Our song was Dinosaur Stomp, which had everyone moving, and our story was about a baby dinosaur who went on an adventure, got lost, made a new friend, and finally found his mum again, a sweet little tale the children enjoyed.

It was a quiet but really lovely morning. The children also enjoyed playing with our new kitchen, cooking food for the dinosaurs, plus some outside play, cars, and sandpit time.

🐝We had a wonderful morning at Busy Bees today creating spider art. We used potato mashers dipped in black paint to make the spider bodies, then glued on legs and googly eyes to finish off our creepy‑cute creations.🕷

We played with our messy spaghetti again.

Our song for today was Incy Wincy Spider, Our story was about a hungry caterpillar who ate and ate until it transformed into a beautiful butterfly 🦋

It was a busy morning of play, with play time outside on the playground and in the sandpit. 🛝

One of the biggest hits today was the parachute, where we tried to keep the balls bouncing on top. There were so many giggles every time they fell off. 🤗

🐝Busy Bees Playgroup! 🐝

☔️ Umbrellas, Gumboots & Rainbow Fun!

The rain held off for us today, so we didn’t need real umbrellas or gumboots, but we still enjoyed a colourful weather‑themed morning together.

For our craft, the children made numbered umbrellas and finger‑painted gumboots, exploring colours and counting. Our sensory play was a whole lot of messy fun with colourful rainbow spaghetti, using tongs to help build those fine motor skills.

Inside, we enjoyed puzzles, books, played with our new tool bench, and climbing with our new soft play. Our book and song for today were Five Little Ducks 🦆

We also made the most of the dry weather with outside play on the slide and cars, burning off some energy before heading back in for more fun.

🐝Busy Bees Playgroup-Rockets, Stars & New Friends!

We had a wonderful morning at Busy Bees today as we welcomed four new families today ❤️. It was so lovely to meet everyone and enjoy a relaxed morning together.

Our craft was rocket themed, and the children had a great time gluing their rockets and decorating them with alien stickers, glitter, and lots of colour. 🚀

Inside, we enjoyed playdough, read books,and worked on puzzles. Our story was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, all about the stars in the sky and trying to catch one to keep as a pet- a sweet match for our rocket craft. ⭐️

We also spent time outside on the playground and with the cars, making the most of the fresh air before heading back in for more play.Thanks to all our Busy Bees-old and new- for a lovely morning. 🤗

Busy Bees Playgroup Clown Craft & Fun! 🤡

We had a bright and cheerful clown‑themed morning at Busy Bees today. For our craft, the children made their own clowns using paper plates, pom poms, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners — lots of colour, creativity, and very cute clown faces.

Inside, we played with playdough and made pretend cupcakes, enjoyed the cars and tool bench, and had plenty of fun in the ball pit and chased some balloons around. We even tried juggling with some balls!

Even though it was cold and overcast, we managed a short play outside with the cars and sandpit-a perfect chance to get some fresh air while it stayed dry.

We also read Spot Goes to the Circus, which tied in beautifully with our clown theme.

🐝Busy Bees Playgroup! 🩷💚 Pink & Green Fun! 🙂

We had a lovely morning at Busy Bees today exploring pink and green. For our craft, the children enjoyed textured painting using mashers and sponges with pink and green paint, and lots of rolling, squishing, and imaginative creations with our matching playdough.

We sang “Three little Speckled Frogs” and read a counting book about farm animals where we enjoyed making all the noises and counting along. 🐄🦆🐈🐕🐁🐦‍⬛

The children also enjoyed free play with cars, had plenty of fun in the ball pit, and it was a lovely morning to spend some time outdoors aswell in the sandpit. 🤗

🐝We had a very quiet little session at Busy Bees today with just a few children, but it made for such a calm and lovely morning together. The children made beautiful Mother’s Day cards, spent time reading books, and enjoyed lots of relaxed free play. 📚

It was a bit chilly outside 🥶. So we only had a short play in the fresh air before heading back in to stay warm.

Wishing all our wonderful mums, grandmothers, and special carers a very Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday 🌸🏵🌹

We hope you feel celebrated, appreciated, and loved.

🐝We had a fun and creative morning at Busy Bees today. For our craft, the children decorated and made their own little bodies, adding faces, clothes, and lots of personality.

We sang “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”, and our story Who's Nose? Who’s Toes? had the children guessing which animal each nose and set of toes belonged to!

We explored playdough and threading, and outside we enjoyed hoopla hoops, musical instruments, Duplo, cars, free play, and plenty of time in the sandpit and our fun slide, even the parents joined in. 🛝🤗😄

🐝Busy Bees Playgroup-First Day Back for Term 2!

We had such a lovely start to Term 2 at Busy Bees today. For our craft, the children made beautiful poppies by gluing red love hearts together, and they enjoyed exploring red and green playdough planting little poppies in the “grass” to create a poppy garden.

We had bubbles,colouring, puzzles, and plenty of free play in the beautiful sunshine. Our new ball‑pit tent was also very exciting.

A big thank‑you to the parent who brought in a special morning tea to celebrate her child’s birthday, such a thoughtful treat and very appreciated.

It was a wonderful way to begin the term, and we’re excited for all the fun ahead. 🤗 Have a lovely week everyone! ❤️
