Our guest speaker on Friday 21st August is Rob Parker who will tell us about his "America’s Great Loop". A 4 year (in summers) expedition to drive his 40ft powerboat from Florida, up to New York, Great Lakes, Chicago, then down the Mississippi, arriving eventually back in southern Florida, while never going on the ocean once!
The Vessel: They navigate aboard a Selene 48 Trawler named Objee.
Beyond the Loop: After finishing the classic 6,000-mile Great Loop route, they extended their cruising lifestyle northward.
Recent Expeditions: They have logged thousands of offshore and inland miles, including extensive cruising voyages up to Alaska and Glacier country.
Vessel: Objee, a Selene 48 ocean-going trawler.
Milestones: Logged over 5,000 nautical miles exploring remote northern and bluewater destinations.

Friday 7th August Guest speaker.
In 2021, Cameron Wrathall was the first person to be bitten by a shark in the Swan River in over 50 years. He will share his story as a survivor of major trauma, detailing the events of the day, his long road to recovery and the lessons learnt from his experiences.

Not only do we have 'guest' speakers at our breakfasts but we also take the time to 'find out more' about our newest members, welcoming them into the wonderful world of Rotary. So next Friay 31 July, we will be 'grilling' our two newest members - Jess Murray and Sriyani De Souza - who will partake in another of our regular fun "Who Am I? interviews.
This is a great way for us to get to know more about them, their backgrounds, interests and the skills they bring to Rotary, have some fun and get to know the person behind the passion!
If you are attending or bringing guests, please remember to advise our Attendance Officer Raelene George ([email protected]) and cc Michelle Lovkis ([email protected]) by midday Wednesday morning.

What's Interact? Well it's...come and find out on Friday 24th July. When Tiffany Kwong, the current President of the Interact Club of Rossmoyne Senior High School will tell you all about it.
Tiffany has helped raise over $6,000 through various events and grown the club from 20 to 60 members.
Interact is Rotary International’s service and social club for young people aged 12 to 18. Sponsored by local Rotary clubs, these self-governing and self-supporting groups complete at least two service projects annually—one for their community and one promoting international understanding.
Interact stands for "International Action". It helps teenagers build leadership skills, foster personal integrity, and discover the power of "Service Above Self". Clubs can be school-based or community-based.
