Our Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and supporting adults have been camping with over 1500 of our closest friends at OneCamp 2026 - Discover in the Swan Valley. We had a great time on our site with friends from Denmark Scout Group and a number of Victorian groups. The program had lots of options to challenge our youth members, and they learned a lot about working together and living in close quarters. Thanks to everyone who made it happen!

Community Involvement – February 2026 (and December 2025)

Our Joey Scouts were due to visit the Canning South Perth State Emergency Service in December last year, but a combination of a big storm and a bushfire meant they were stretched pretty thin! The Joeys baked them some biscuits at the Scout hall instead, as we figured they could use the energy boost.

We got to visit them a few weeks ago and the Joeys had a great time looking at all the tools and equipment, practicing some knots and stretcher carries, and using the loudspeakers! There were a few pretty keen to sign up although the orange overalls don't come in Joey sizes just yet.

Many of the Joey Scouts have now been awarded their SES badge after putting together a storm emergency kit at home & learning about safety in emergencies.

Thanks to the Canning South Perth SES for hosting us and for their hard work in supporting the community!

Joey Scouts meet on Tuesdays from 5-6:15 pm, for ages 5-7.

For International Volunteers Day, our supporting adults went out for dinner to celebrate the successes of the year. Thanks to everyone who has helped the group in 2025!

Volunteering is good for you and good for the community. If someone you know is interested in helping young people to grow and learn, we'd love to talk to them about how they can learn new skills and make new friends at the same time.

Our Venturer Scouts were out on the weekend, hiking and navigating through difficult, untracked terrain in the afternoon and into the night. They slept soundly in our new hiking tents, provided by the 2024-25 Volunteer Grants Program with the support of Zaneta Mascarenhas MP!

Our Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts conquered the walls at indoor rockclimbing this week. It was fantastic to see so many who made it to the top of the wall for the first time - often after saying they didn't think they could do it! Thanks to all the leaders and parents who helped with belaying.
