Looking for a fun, challenging and supportive program where your teenager can build independence, confidence, and practical life skills while making great mates?

Our Pakenham Scouts have been busy getting stuck into hands-on adventures and real-world skills. Over the past year they’ve learned essential knot-tying, built and raced their own chariots, sewn on badges to take pride in their achievements, and tackled an exciting night hike under the stars.

And there’s more to come! Next up is a campfire night where Scouts will cook their own meals over the fire—building teamwork, resilience, and outdoor skills in a fun and safe environment.

What an action-packed night for our Joeys at the Victoria State Emergency Service Pakenham Unit! 🚨🛠️

Our Joeys had an amazing evening visiting the SES volunteers, where they learnt all about the important role the SES plays in helping the community during emergencies. The Joeys got hands-on experience using some hand tools, had the exciting opportunity to operate the “Jaws of Life,” played lots of fun games, and learnt valuable lessons about being prepared in an emergency situation.

The volunteers also gave the Joeys a personal tour of all the SES vehicles and equipment. The Joeys absolutely loved getting up close to everything, but the biggest excitement of the night was definitely seeing the SES boat! 🚤

A huge thank you to the wonderful volunteers at the SES Centre for putting together such a fun-filled and engaging evening. The activities kept the Joeys entertained and learning the whole time, and we truly appreciate the time and effort you put into making the night so special for our group 💛

We also shared some bittersweet moments as we said goodbye to two of our Joeys who are moving up to Cubs. We are so proud of everything they’ve achieved during their time with Joeys and know they’re going to do amazing things in their next Scouting adventure. We’ll miss you both and wish you all the very best as you start your journey in Cubs 🐾💚

Our Pakenham Cubs have had an incredible time over the past year with hands-on, adventurous activities including ANZAC Day sleepover experiences, cooking nights, STEM challenges (yes—slime experiments included!), and plenty of outdoor fun like bushwalking.

And we’re not slowing down! Coming up next, the Cubs will be visiting the Victoria Police station as part of an exciting community learning experience.

It’s all about adventure, teamwork, independence, and growing in a safe, supportive environment.
