THANKFUL THURSDAY😃
People growing gardens are thankful for the rain. We are thankful for volunteers who show up even though it's raining and cold, and serve groceries outside Pakenham Library. BIG THANKS to South East Community Links for restocking the ADRA bus with extra non perishable groceries which we served this evening. Great appreciation to a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Thanks for being interested in what you saw us doing, and deciding to jump on board with us to help people in our community.

THANKFUL THURSDAY! Very thankful to everyone who donated 'Winter Warmer' clothing and bedding items, the volunteers who sorted them, and served them including Nunawading SDA Church, Pathfinders and friends from Pakenham Lakeside SDA Church. BIG THANKS to our partners Follow Bless Collective for allowing us the space in Pakenham Hall to offer these to our community. Great to see so many community members able to find items they wanted to take away with them.

Assistance available this evening. The ADRA bus will be parked outside Pakenham library serving groceries 🥔🥫from 6-8pm. We will be serving bakery 🥯 items and Winter Warmers (clothing, bedding) 🧥 from inside the hall - THANKS to our charity partners Follow Bless Collective for making the space available to us. They will also be serving as usual their great community meal program. Please bring your own bags if able, to take your items away with you☺️

This year’s National Volunteer Week (18-24 May) provides an opportunity to celebrate those volunteers.

It also provides an opportunity to highlight that there is a place for everyone in the world of volunteering.

When you volunteer, you make a huge contribution to your community.

You also feel a great sense of achievement, and meet some wonderful people along the way.

I can’t thank our volunteers in the Pakenham District enough for the great work they do. Thank you 🩷

This 'National Volunteer Week' we thank and celebrate the wonderful volunteers who make up the ADRA Community Care Cardinia (ADRA bus Pakenham) team.
BIG THANKS for volunteering even when you are busy, tired, weather is wet / cold; the task is not glamorous, doesn't match your preferred skill set or what you have trained for, BUT you see the great need, and so you step up.
THANK YOU for giving your time, energy, compassion and smile to support those in need in our community; creating meaningful impact, being where needed, when needed 'so that ALL may live as God intended'
