Airfix Bristol Bulldog, 48th Scale, RAAF-Fighter Training School, Point Cook 1930. Updated with Eduard Seatbelts and bracing wire. A well produced and engineered kit by Airfix, none the less, still a difficult build due to the subject matter of a biplane with large amounts of bracing. This was one of eight acquired by the RAAF for training with the type. One of the functions they performed was aerobatic displays at the Royal Melbourne Show in the 1930s. My mother lived near the Showgrounds in Ascot Vale and attended each year. She could have very well watched this particular aircraft in the performance. Paints are mostly SMS.
