With all the wild weather expected around parts of Southeast Queensland today, police are reminding everyone to stay up to date with the latest weather alerts.
With flash flooding expected in some areas, know your risk for where you live and make sure you set up local alerts from the BOM website and bookmark your local council disaster dashboard.

Emergency services advise people to:
▪️Pack away, secure or tie down outdoor furniture, toys and trampolines if it is safe to do so.
▪️ Stay away from windows if there is giant hail.
▪️ Park your car undercover away from trees.
▪️ Close doors and windows.
▪️ Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
▪️ Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
▪️ Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
▪️ Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
And remember: if it's flooded, forget it.
