🌟 Empowering Girls to Change the World! 🌟
At Girl Guides, we’re all about building confidence, fostering curiosity, and empowering girls to make choices that create a better world. 🌏💪
From visiting the fire brigade and dreaming of becoming a firefighter 🚒, to supporting a homeless shelter and exploring the role of a social worker 💛, Girl Guides are given opportunities to learn about people, cultures, and careers that inspire them to make a difference.
Whether they’re tackling engineering and science challenges 🔬⚙️, or exploring creative and community-focused projects, Guides are encouraged to dream big and aim high. They could go on to become structural engineers, researchers, science educators, first responders, or compassionate leaders and managers in their chosen fields.
Our amazing volunteers – police officers, business owners, accountants, IT specialists, public servants, teachers, environmentalists, artists, and more – bring their unique skills and experiences to Guiding and inspire the next generation. They open doors to new career pathways and help girls see the endless possibilities ahead.

At Girl Guides, we understand that life is about more than just ticking off tasks — it’s about finding harmony and supporting each other along the way.
As Week 8 rolls around, we know it’s crunch time for assessments and exams. That’s why our Senior Guides love finding a space where they can focus on their studies while still feeling connected. Whether it’s sharing a quiet moment, offering a word of encouragement, or simply exchanging a smile, Girl Guides is a place where priorities are respected, and support is always close by.

🌸☕ A Huge Thank You to Bunnings Virginia! ☕🌸

The Nundah Wavell Guides had an absolute blast supporting the Mother's Day High Tea at Bunnings Virginia recently! 💐💖
From serving up delicious cakes, fruit, and sweet treats to helping families pot plants, it was such a joy to meet and celebrate with all the amazing mothers, grandmothers, and children who joined in the fun. 🌱🍰

Being out and about in the community is one of our favourite things, and we’re so grateful to Bunnings Virginia for being such fabulous supporters of local groups like ours. Whether it’s Girl Guides, sausage sizzles, family events, or fundraising efforts, Bunnings is always there to lend a hand.

A special shoutout to Sandie at Bunnings Virginia for her ongoing support ! 🌟

And of course, we bow down to all the mothers, grandmothers, and maternal figures out there who are raising empowered, independent, and adventurous girls. You inspire us every day! 💪💖

🌏✨ National Reconciliation Week 2026 with Nundah Wavell Senior Girl Guides ✨🌏
This week, the Nundah Wavell Senior Girl Guides came together to observe National Reconciliation Week 2026, embracing the theme of "All in for Reconciliation".

We were proud to use the incredible activity pack developed by Guides Victoria, which provided us with meaningful ways to celebrate, reflect, and learn about the rich history, culture, and contributions of First Nations Australians.

Through these activities, we honoured the stories and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while encouraging our Guides to think deeply about their role as global citizens and future leaders. Together, we explored how we can advocate for positive change in our communities, fostering respect, understanding, and reconciliation.

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to reflect on our shared history and take steps towards a more inclusive and equitable future. We’re proud to play our part in raising awareness and shining a spotlight on the importance of reconciliation.

Throwback to the start of term and our ANZAC activities ❤️

Our Guides enjoyed making ANZAC cookies and creating a beautiful wreath as we learnt about the importance of remembrance and honouring those who have served our country. We then proudly took part in the ANZAC march alongside our community.

It was wonderful to see the girls show such respect, pride and community spirit throughout these special activities. Lest We Forget 🌺
