"The odds change when the conversations starts" is the theme of this years Gambling Harm Awareness Week.

Gambling harm is often a hidden issue, with many people feeling isolated or ashamed to seek help. By starting the conversation, we can create safe spaces for individuals to share their experiences and access the support they need. Open dialogue helps to break down the stigma surrounding gambling harm, making it easier for people to reach out for assistance without fear of judgement.

Free and confidential support is available at:

The theme for this year’s National Sorry Day is From Sorry to Action, a reminder that meaningful change comes through listening, learning and taking action together.

At headspace Nundah, we recognise the importance of truth-telling, healing and creating spaces where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, families and communities feel heard, respected and connected.

We encourage our community to take a moment to reflect on National Sorry Day on 26 May and consider how we can all continue moving from words into action.
