It is with profound sadness that we at HACC join the Kenyan community in mourning the passing of our beloved Ms. June Chebet Kili, who was called home on Monday, 1st June 2026, while receiving treatment at Calvary Mater Hospital.
To her friends, her community, and all who knew her β€” we grieve with you. Grief like this is not carried alone. It is carried together, and HACC stands firmly beside you.

We warmly encourage the community to visit the family, offer your presence, and keep them in your prayers.

The family is receiving visitors and the community is gathering each evening for prayer and support at:

1/58 Devon Street, Wallsend, NSW 2287

If you would like to support the family during this difficult time, contributions are warmly welcomed and deeply appreciated.

Centrelink can feel like a maze when you're new to the system with different payments, different forms, different rules for different situations. Getting clear answers from someone who can sit with your questions makes a real difference.

That's why, we're running a Centrelink information session for the Congolese community in Newcastle. Bring your questions, hear from Centrelink directly, and meet others from the community at the same time.

πŸ“… Friday 5 June, 10:00am
πŸ“ Jesmond Neighbourhood Centre
πŸ“ž To register, call 02 4969 3399

Open to everyone from the Congolese community. Please share with family, friends and neighbours who might find this useful.

If you need an interpreter at the session, let us know when you register and we'll arrange one through TIS National.
