THANK YOU to the Rotary Club of Hobart for inviting our member Dr Tara Anderson to address their club on End Polio Now. The club's promotion invites all interested to come on Thursday but you must reply before then. Here are the details:
🌏 On the brink of history… and you can be part of it.
This week, the Rotary Club of Hobart is delighted to welcome Dr Tara Anderson, Infectious Diseases Physician and Clinical Microbiologist, for an interactive and thought-provoking session on Poliomyelitis and the global effort to eradicate polio.
Dr Anderson, a member of the Rotary Club of North Hobart, brings over 30 years of experience at the Royal Hobart Hospital, specialising in infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship. Her insights into the ongoing challenges of polio eradication are not to be missed.
Rotary is closer than ever to eliminating polio worldwide—but finishing the job requires continued support.
💡 Through the PolioPlus Society in Tasmania, you can join a founding group committed to ending polio. A simple annual contribution of US$100 is matched 2:1 by the Gates Foundation—amplifying your impact.
👉 This is a rare opportunity to be part of one of the greatest public health achievements in history.
