Today we celebrate all the incredible dads in our Scouting community, from the Leaders who give their time to support and inspire young people, to the dads and carers guiding, encouraging and helping shape the journey along the way.

From weekend hikes to bad dad jokes and knowing exactly where the fish are biting. Thank you for showing up for our young people every day!

Today is Wear it Purple Day, bringing people across Australia together to support LGBTQIA+SB young people and help create safer, more inclusive spaces 💜🌈

This year's theme, 'Colours of Courage', celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies and communities every day. Courage can mean speaking up and standing out, but it can also be quieter - living authentically, asking for support, standing beside someone or choosing pride and hope when being yourself doesn't always feel easy.

Scouts Victoria is proud to stand with LGBTQIA+SB young people and celebrate the diversity of our members.

This year’s National NAIDOC Week marks 50 years of recognising Indigenous voices, culture and resilience.

The 2026 theme, '50 Years of Deadly', honours the Elders, communities, and generations who have shaped this journey over the past five decades, while celebrating the strength of culture and the legacy that continues to inspire future generations.

You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events held across the country.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride Committee Expressions of Interest are now open! 🏳️‍🌈

Scouts Victoria is looking for enthusiastic youth members from all sections to join the Scouts Victoria Pride Committee and help shape our involvement in Pride events.

The Committee’s key focus will be planning and promoting participation in the 2027 Midsumma Pride March. Thanks to the amazing work of this year’s Committee, more than 200 Scouts Victoria youth members, adult volunteers, family members and friends proudly marched together in 2026! 🌈

The Committee will also help coordinate involvement in other Pride events, including the ChillOut Festival in Daylesford, and develop Pride-themed activities and engagement opportunities at major Scout events like Vic Gathering, Gilweroo and Anything Goes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to share ideas, develop leadership skills, help plan events, and play an active role in creating a more inclusive Scouting experience.

Committee members will attend monthly Microsoft Teams meetings and participate in activities throughout the year.
