This Pride Month, Scouts Australia celebrates diversity, inclusion, and the importance of creating safe and welcoming spaces for everyone.

Scouting is for all young people - a place where everyone can belong, be themselves, and feel supported to grow, learn, and thrive.

Together, we continue to build a movement where everyone is valued, respected, and empowered to be themselves. 🌈

Scouts Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identifying members to join the First Nations Advisory Group.

The group will help ensure the voices, experiences and perspectives of local Scouting communities are represented at a national level, helping guide conversations around reconciliation, cultural competency and First Nations engagement.

This is an important opportunity to help shape the future of Scouting across Australia.

At Scouts Victoria, we’re proud to be part of a movement that brings people together, and during National Reconciliation Week, we reflect on how we can all play a role in building a more united and respectful Australia.

This year’s theme, All In, is a call for every one of us to commit to reconciliation every day. It’s not something we watch from the sidelines. It’s something we actively take part in through our actions, our learning and our respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.
In Scouts, we encourage young people and Leaders to listen, learn and take meaningful steps toward understanding and respect.

Reconciliation starts with all of us. Let’s be All In.

🌈 IDAHOBIT 🌈

Today we recognise IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia) — a day to stand together against discrimination and show support for LGBTQIA+ people and communities.

While progress has been made, many LGBTQIA+ Australians still experience discrimination, exclusion, and abuse. Small actions can make a big difference in helping everyone feel safe, respected, and included.

🌈Scouts Victoria welcomes and supports all members of our community and is committed to creating safe and inclusive environments for everyone.🌈

✨ May the 4th be with you! ✨

Today we’re celebrating all things adventure, teamwork and a little bit of Jedi spirit.

Whether you’re building shelters, navigating the outdoors, or leading your Patrol like a true Jedi Master, Scouts are always ready to take on the next challenge.

So grab your gear, trust your training, and remember… the Force is strong with this one.

Scouts Australia wishes everyone a joyful Vesak Day!

Vesak Day is a significant celebration for Buddhists around the world, marking the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha. It’s a time for reflection, peace, and spreading goodwill to all.

To all who celebrate, may this special day bring you inner peace and harmony.

This Earth Day is all about getting involved and doing your bit. The 2026 theme, Our Power, Our Planet, is a reminder that together we can make a real difference.

At Scouts Victoria, one simple way we’re making a difference is through the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS). Every container returned helps reduce waste, protect our environment, and keep our communities clean, all while raising funds for local Scout Groups.

Small actions add up. Collect, return, recycle and be part of something bigger.

Together, we have the power to create a greener future.
