306 ACU Monash Takes on The Push-Up Challenge! πŸ’ͺ

Throughout June, the cadets and staff of 306 Army Cadet Unit – Monash will be taking part in The Push-Up Challenge, raising awareness for mental health while challenging ourselves physically.

Our team is lead by LT(AAC) Taylah Tillotson and Cadet Warrant Officer Izzy Cadenazzi and for everyone involved our goal is to complete 3,307 push-ups each in 24 days. This target represents the 3,307 Australians who died by su***de in 2024 (the most recent statistics available).

Mental health affects people from all walks of life, and The Push-Up Challenge helps start important conversations, reduce stigma, and support services that make a real difference in our communities.

If you would like to support this important cause, please consider donating to our Unit page:

https://www.thepushupchallenge.com.au/fundraiser/306armycadetunitmonash

Funds raised will go to Headspace Australia to support much-needed mental health services and initiatives across Australia.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated.

Good luck to all of our cadets and staff participating in this year’s challenge!

Anzac Day 2026 – Honoring Service and Sacrifice

On the 25th of April 2026, 111 years since Gallipoli, we reflect on the courage, endurance, and sacrifice of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

The 306 Army Cadet Unit proudly supported local commemorations by providing ceremonial catafalque and flag parties.

Under the leadership of Lieutenant Taylah Tillotson, 306 Army Cadet Unit assisted the Clayton RSL Dawn Service led by Cadet Under Officer Jayde Grylls.

And under the leadership of Lieutenant Ron Willis, 306 assisted the Glen Waverley RSL Dawn Service led by Cadet Warrant Officer Class Two Izzy Cadenazzi.

We commend all cadets who attended and contributed to these services. Your dedication reflects the values of the Australian Army Cadets β€” Service, Courage, Respect, Integrity, and Excellence.

Thank you to both RSLs for allowing our cadets the privilege to be part of such an important occasion.

Lest we forget.

Sausage Sizzle Success! πŸŒπŸ’›πŸ’™

Today our team from 306 Army Cadet Unit – Monash fired up the BBQ at Bunnings Notting Hill for a fundraising sausage sizzle β€” and we’re already off to a fantastic start!

With a steady stream of hungry customers and the incredible teamwork of our cadets, staff, and volunteers, we’re proud to say we’re already turning a profit!

More importantly, it’s been amazing to see the enthusiasm, initiative, and community spirit from everyone involved. From cooking and serving to greeting customers with a smile β€” this is what leadership and service look like in action.

A huge thank you to our awesome team on the ground today and to the local community for your support. Every sausage helps us continue delivering opportunities and experiences for our cadets.

Come down and grab a snag if you’re nearby β€” we’ll be here serving with pride!

Last night we had the privilege of recognising CDTWO2 Sienna Grylls for an outstanding achievement β€” being formally awarded her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award πŸ‘

The Duke of Ed is no small commitment. It requires months of dedication across skill development, physical recreation, service, and adventurous journey β€” all while balancing school, family life, and cadets.

Sienna has shown consistent perseverance, self-discipline and a genuine commitment to personal growth throughout her journey to Bronze. This award reflects not only the time she has invested, but also her willingness to step outside her comfort zone and challenge herself.

We look forward to supporting her as she continues her Duke of Ed journey in the future.

Congratulations Sienna β€” a fantastic achievement and well deserved! 🌟
