EXERCISE EMU – DAYS 1–3 UPDATE

We’re officially a few days into Exercise Emu, and everyone is doing really well!

Day 1 – Set Up & Settle In ⛺
Our first day was all about arriving, setting up our location and getting settled alongside 302ACU Oakleigh, 304ACU Newborough and 317ACU Wonthaggi.

Each team has their own coloured Exercise Emu patch, which has been a huge hit – everyone is loving them! It’s been great seeing the units come together and cadets getting to know people they may not normally work with.

Day 2 – Range Day 🎯
Day two was a full day on the range!

There were some very impressive groupings, with one of our standout results coming from CDTLCPL Tom Stayfer with a grouping score of 68! Well done to everyone for their effort, focus and safe conduct throughout the day.

Day 3 – Preparation Day 🎒
Today we’re preparing for the next big part of Exercise Emu – our 48-hour field exercise!

Cadets are getting themselves and their equipment organised, making final preparations and getting ready to put their fieldcraft, teamwork, leadership and resilience to the test over the next two days.

Everyone is doing well, spirits are high, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they go during the 48-hour exercise!

More updates to come!!
