Little Athletics at Mt Barker & Districts encourages children aged from 3 years to under 17 years regardless of their ability to strive to achieve their be

The summer athletics season starts in term 4 and continues through to the end of term 1 each year. Your membership also gives you accesss to the winter cross country program, held on Sundays in terms 2 and 3. Our club caters for little athletes aged between 3-17, senior athletes over 17, and rec athletes. We provide the following events,
Running: 50m, 60m, 70m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m, 1500m

Hurdles: 60m, 80m, 90m, 100m, 200m

Throwing: shot put, discus, javelin

Jumping: high jump, long jump, triple jump

We meet Friday nights for the summer season, 5:15 for 5:30 start. Training is held Tuesday nights, 4-5 for under 10, and 5-6 for over 10.

Tomorrow night kicks off the cross country season with a twilight run 🌅🔥Then on Sunday we head south for another cross country adventure made for all the little athletes… and the mums & dads too of course 😉

Our athletes were busy over the weekend at the Little Athletics SA Awards, and what a night it was! 🏃⭐

We were incredibly proud to have nominations across several categories, showcasing the talent, dedication and sportsmanship within our club.

A huge congratulations to:
🏆 Zoe Wittwer – Winner, Age Group Champion State Athlete

🏆 Ollie Nagle – Winner, Coles Achievement Award

An outstanding achievement considering there are 54 Little Athletics clubs across SA! To be recognised as champions among so many talented athletes is something truly special.

👏 Congratulations also to:
⭐ Ava Morris – Finalist, Age Group Champion State Athlete
⭐ Addison Strange – Finalist, Coles Achievement Award

And well done to:💚 Paxton Newman & Jace Chapman for being recognised for their State Team selection.
