As a local not-for-profit organisation, JCS provides vital support services to older people, people living with disability, carers, and community members across our region.

📣 Supporting Children's Emotional Wellbeing Through HIPPY

It was a pleasure to visit the HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) program and connect with local parents and carers who are passionate about supporting their children's learning and development. HIPPY empowers parents to be their child's first teacher and supports school readiness through fun, home-based learning activities.

During the visit, Funda, Psychologist from Remarkable Minds Psychology, shared practical strategies to help parents understand and support their children's emotions. The session focused on building emotional awareness, helping children identify and express feelings, and developing healthy emotional regulation skills.

💙 Topics included: • Understanding big emotions in young children
• Helping children name and express their feelings
• Building emotional resilience and confidence
• Practical strategies parents can use at home
• Strengthening parent-child connections through everyday conversations

A big thank you to the HIPPY team for the warm welcome and to all the parents who attended and contributed to such an engaging discussion. Together, we can help children develop the emotional skills they need to thrive at home, at school, and in life.

📸🧶 Community Kindness in Action! ❤️

A big thank you to the wonderful volunteers of JCS's Knit-For-Charity Hub for their recent donation of handmade fingerless gloves and trauma teddies to Campbelltown, Camden and Bowral hospitals.

We are proud to share that the group was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Bradley Warner, General Manager of Bowral & District Hospital, in recognition of their generosity and ongoing support of patients and the community.

Thank you, Bradley, for your kind acknowledgement, and congratulations to all our talented knitters whose dedication continues to bring comfort, warmth and care to those who need it most. 💙

📣 **Calling All Knitters, Crocheters & Craft Lovers!** 🧶💝

The **Knit for Charity Group** at **Jubilee Community Services** is seeking donations of **8 ply acrylic wool** and **baby wool in either 3 or 4 ply balls** of various colors to help us continue creating much-needed handmade items for our community.

Our wonderful volunteers knit and crochet blankets, beanies, booties, cardigans, and other items that are donated to:
💕 Local charities
💕 Premature babies in local hospitals
💕 Regional NSW charities and hospitals
💕 Families and individuals in need

If you have any unused balls of wool tucked away in a cupboard, we'd be incredibly grateful for your donation. Every ball of wool helps us provide warmth, comfort, and care to those who need it most.

🎄✨ Christmas in July Fundraiser✨🎄

Join us for a heartwarming afternoon of festive cheer at our Christmas in July Fundraiser, proudly supporting Jubilee Community Service 💛

We are a not-for-profit organisation offering social group services for seniors, and this fundraiser will help us raise vital funds towards the purchase of a new bus 🚌 to better support our community.

💛 Nourishing Wellbeing Through Connection
Our older adults enjoyed a beautiful day out with JCS — a day designed to support emotional wellbeing, social connection, and a sense of belonging.

We began with a peaceful stop at La Promenade Patisserie in Sans Souci, sharing coffee, conversation, and those breathtaking waterfront views that always lift the spirit. Afterwards, we continued on to Gymea Bowling Club for a relaxed lunch filled with laughter, stories, and genuine connection.

These outings aren’t just about going somewhere — they’re about feeling part of something.
They help reduce isolation, build friendships, and support the wellbeing of everyone who joins us.
