ANZAC Day 2026

Once again we were honoured to be a part of the Mortdale RSL Club and Penshurst RSL combined ANZAC Dawn Service.

A special thanks to Lugarno Village Florist for the beautiful wreath.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Gone Home
Denis “Moose” Burdinat, 2nd Mortdale Cub, Scout, and Venturer who achieved his Queen’s Scout award in 1969, was called home on March 10 2026.

We send our condolences to his family.

What makes Scouting different? The Scouts Australia Resilient Youth Survey 2025 shows that Scouts are thriving. Overall, Scouts feel more Connected, Protected, and Respected than their peers.

They are 9% more positive and feel 10% better able to cope with life’s challenges. “Scouting makes me feel more positive because it usually pushes me to do stuff I don’t normally do at home which challenges me.”
