There’s still time to make a difference to our 2026 Winter Appeal.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, supporters, sponsors, and everyone who attended our Winter Appeal Fundraising Gala, we’ve made a fantastic start towards our ambitious $125,000 Winter Appeal target.
But we’re not there yet.
Every day at MCSC, we see the growing need for support across our community.
Between June 2025 and May 2026:
📍1,100 local people and families sought assistance through our Emergency Relief program
📍232 people needed support five times or more throughout the year
📍We provided over $375,000 worth of food assistance, plus a further $21,000 in vouchers
📍We made 1,652 referrals to other services, helping people access the support they need
📍383 clients living with disability accessed our services
📍We conducted 5,321 Emergency Relief appointments
📍We delivered almost 9,000 plates of food via our meeting room café
Our Food Relief Program is also having an enormous impact. In just the first six months of this year, we have:
📍Distributed over $852,000 worth of rescued food
📍Saved 133 tonnes of food from landfill
📍Prevented 280 tonnes of CO₂ emissions
Behind every number is a person, a family, a neighbour facing hardship.
As the cost of living continues to place pressure on many households, demand for our services remains high. That’s why we’re asking our community to help us finish our Winter Appeal strong.
