🌸 Spring Kindness Drive. 🌸
Supporting LocalKind Northern Beaches

This Spring, Manly Warringah Netball Association is proud to support LocalKind Northern Beaches, a local community service providing essential assistance to people doing it tough right here on the Northern Beaches.

We’re collecting toiletries and non-perishable food items throughout the Spring Competition to help stock their community pantry and care packs.

Shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste
Feminine hygiene products
Tinned foods, pasta, rice, long-life milk, cereal, snacks

All donations can be left at the MWNA Clubhouse during Spring Competition game days.

🌼 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 🌼
𝙇𝙚𝙩’𝙨 𝙆𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙄𝙩 𝙁𝙪𝙣, 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙧 & 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡!

We are loving the energy at Spring Comp. The laughter, the friendships and the great netball on court! But we’ve noticed a few things slipping, so it’s time for a friendly community reminder:

👂 Earrings
No earrings on court! Not taped, not covered, not hidden.
Please remove them before your game. When you get home, a warm shower usually helps them go back in easily. When umpires ask you to remove them, please comply.

🗣️ Respect for Umpires
Arguing or backchatting with umpires is not on.
Our umpires are doing their best, and many are still learning. Let’s support them with encouragement, not criticism.

💙 Sportsmanship & Safe Play
Good sportsmanship isn’t optional. It’s the heart of our game.
Cheer positively, play fairly and remember: shoulder charges are not netball.

🔄 Borrowed vs Casual Players
There is a difference! If you’re unsure which applies, please check with the Executive on duty in the Control Room before the game. We’re here to help you get it right.

👕 Uniform & Bibs
We don’t have enough spare bibs to supply all teams.
If your team is out of uniform, make sure you bring two full sets of bibs in your kit in case the opposition has the same colour.

Let’s continue keep Spring Comp a safe, enjoyable and positive experience for every player, coach umpire, official and supporters. 💙

And don't forget, we are proudly supporting Localkind Northern Beaches this Spring by collecting items for those doing it tough in our community.

The weather is warming up, which means Walking Netball is back at Manly Netball!

Walking Netball is a fun, modified, non competitive version of netball played at a walking pace. It’s designed to be inclusive for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. The perfect way to stay active, social, and moving.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
📅 Wednesdays from 15th October (8-week program)
⏰ 6:30 – 7:30pm
📍 The Home of Netball on the Northern Beaches Curly
💲 $65 for the term + $45 Netball NSW registration fee
👩‍⚕️ Run by an experienced physio who ensures safe warm ups and cool downs, and don’t worry, there’s absolutely no running or jumping!

Hard court games still on at this stage

📣 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 📣

At Manly Netball, teams can make tactical substitutions at any break in play, but there are key conditions:

✅ A player on court must request the substitution.
✅ The change must be made without delay to avoid unnecessary stoppages.
✅ Substitutions can occur when the umpire holds time (e.g. for injury, blood, or discipline) or after a goal is scored.
✅ Any player can be replaced, and positions can be rearranged.
✅ The opposition may also make changes during the same break in play.

❌ Parents are not to enter the court and change bibs over.
❌ No rolling subs

Great netball happens when everyone’s on the same page! When we work with each other, the game only gets better 💙

🌧️ 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 – 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 🌧️

The weather hasn’t been on our side as we head into the final games of the Winter Competition.

With last Saturday washed out, this weekend you’ll play two half games:
🔹 Quarter 1 & 2 – Game 14
🔹 Quarter 3 & 4 – Game 13

We’re closely monitoring the forecast, and yes — Saturday’s weather isn’t looking great either. Please note:
📌 If Saturday is washed out, Sunday is our backup day.
📌 If neither day can be played, the round will be abandoned.

We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding as we navigate the end of season weather which couldn't have come at a worse time.

🚨 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝟭𝟯- 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 🚨

Due to the current and forecasted weather conditions, a decision has been made to cancel all NetSetGO games for 7, 8, and 9 year teams tomorrow (Saturday).
These games have been rescheduled to Saturday 30th August.

A decision regarding the remainder of the morning block will be made at 7:30am.
We are aware that finals is around the corner however, player, umpire, and official safety remains our top priority.

Further updates will be provided at approx 7:30am in the morning.
