🌿 A Step Back in Time at Australiana Pioneer Village! 🇦🇺

Last weekend, our clients enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Australiana Pioneer Village in Wilberforce!

It was a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience what life was like in Australia more than 100 years ago. With an authentic 1810 village streetscape, historic buildings, thousands of antiques and artefacts, old machinery and plenty to explore, there was so much to see and enjoy.

Our clients had a great time wandering through the Village, taking in the history, reminiscing and enjoying a lovely day out together. ❤️

A huge thank you to the fantastic staff and volunteers at Australiana Pioneer Village for being so welcoming and making our visit such an enjoyable experience. We really appreciated your hospitality!

Another great SWCT social outing filled with history, friendship, conversation and plenty of smiles. 🚌😊

🎶 Our Macarthur clients went back to the 80s! 📼🎵

Following on from our Fairfield and Liverpool outing, it was our Macarthur clients’ turn to enjoy lunch at High On the 80s Café in Penrith – and they had a fantastic time!

There was so much to see, with the café packed full of 80s memorabilia, music, movie posters and plenty of nostalgic favourites that brought back lots of memories and conversation. Even the menu joined in on the fun, with some very creative 80s-inspired meal names! 😄

Our clients enjoyed a lovely lunch, plenty of laughs and a great afternoon together.

Once again, the staff were absolutely wonderful and made everyone feel so welcome. A big thank you for looking after our group so well. 💙

Another fun social outing for our clients and a great opportunity to get out, connect with others and enjoy something a little different! 🚌✨

🎶 High on the 80s! 🎶

Yesterday our Fairfield and Liverpool clients enjoyed a fun day out with lunch at High On the 80s Penrith – and what a great place it was! 📼🎵

The café is packed with 80s memorabilia, from records and movie posters to some very familiar faces from the decade. Even the menu keeps the theme going, with dishes cleverly named after 80s favourites like “Girls Just Wanna Have Fries,” “The Boss” Burger, “Xanadu” Eggs Benny and “Another One Bites the Crust.” 😄

There were plenty of smiles, laughs and memories shared as everyone looked around at all the memorabilia – and even a special appearance from ALF!

A big thank you to the staff at High on the 80s, who were absolutely amazing and made our group feel so welcome. 💙

Tomorrow it’s our Macarthur clients’ turn, and we’re sure they’re going to have just as much fun!

Another wonderful social outing bringing people together, getting out into the community and making new memories. 🚌💙

🎉 Thank you Lakeside Golf Club, Camden!

We are incredibly grateful to Lakeside Golf Club, Camden for supporting South West Community Transport through the 2026 Camden ClubGRANTS program.

This funding will help us deliver our new Community Travel Skills Program, designed to give local seniors the confidence and practical skills to safely and independently use public transport. 🚆🚌

Through small, supported group outings, participants will gain hands-on experience using trains, buses, ferries and light rail while learning how to navigate stations, read timetables, understand ticketing and use transport apps.

Along the way, they’ll also have the opportunity to visit some fantastic destinations, build new friendships and enjoy getting out and about in a safe and supportive environment.

The program is all about building confidence, independence and social connection, while giving seniors practical skills they can continue to use in everyday life.

A huge thank you to Lakeside Golf Club, Camden and Camden ClubGRANTS program for helping us bring this initiative to our local community. 💙
