Our Next Club Fishing Competition will be on Sunday the 18th October
This is our 3 Rivers competition, open to fishing 3 different locations fishing for bream, your choices are between Thompson Creek, at Breamlea, Spring Creek, at Torquay, and Painkalac Creek Aireys Inlet.

Sunday 13th Sept was our Barwon River competition
Member fish the Barwon River, from Gundog Ln (Breakwater Bridge) to City side of Buckly falls. The weather depending on where you were fishing, I was told that along the straight of the Barwon River bridge opposite the rowing clubs the wind was a bit fresh but sunny, at our location it was a very enjoyable day, enjoying the sun and no wind down towards the Princes Bridge, other than the pesty Mozzies and watching the Dragon Boat races going past
We had 6 of our junior members along with 16 seniors attend on the day.
unfortunately, no target species of Carp were caught, other species caught were a number of Eels, Silver Perch and a nice size Yellowbelly.

AGM - Trophy presentation day August 2nd Report.

Our AGM held-on Sunday we had 32 members in an attendance on the day, enjoying a meal, and sharing stories. Thanks to members that supplied a plate of food to share, and the BBQ cook and a big thanks to those who went on dishwashing and clean duties, including several of our junior members washing and drying. The Meeting stated with the presentation of a life Membership to Robert (Bob) Franklin for his years’ service to the club and the committee.
The elections well no change other than Cheyanne Brabender our Junior Representative.
Thanks to the committee once again for supporting your club.

Competition report:
17th, May 2026 Inverleigh Barwon & Leigh rivers
We had 9 seniors and 4 juniors in attendance unfortunately no target fish being caught
Darren with a 66cm carp and Ian with a 63cm. Weather started out with a few light shower clearing to an enjoyable day. thanks to all members that attended.
