Meredith Angling Club Family orientated Fishing Club that encourages family activities and individual membership. New members are always welcome to join.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE MEREDITH ANGLING CLUB
Is to promote good fellowship among anglers and the mutual exchange of knowledge relating to our water sport. The culture of fish and the support of legislation when advisable for the propagation and protection of fish and the promotion of this sport. To promote and encourage family participation in competitions, to encourage the juniors to take part in

their own junior’s competition and to tuition the beginners in the art of fishing, and the safety aspect. To make anglers responsible for the environment which we use for our sport of fishing by taking the RUBBISH home with you and not to litter our water ways and to respect the privilege to fish in private dams and water ways

17th, May 2026 Inverleigh Barwon & Leigh rivers
We had 9 seniors and 4 juniors in attendance unfortunately no target fish being caught
Darren with a 66cm carp and Ian with a 63cm. Weather started out with a few light shower clearing to an enjoyable day. thanks to all members that attended.

Club Competition Results
Of our 3 Rivers
Thanks to all members who participated on the 19th of April is our 3 Rivers competition
We had 15 Seniors and 5 Juniors in attendance,
With only 5 small Mullet and 1 eel caught on the day. Unfortunately, no Bream
Weather: was very pleasant just sitting in the sun with a light breeze with a bit of a Chill.

A reminder about our 3 Rivers competition is comming Sunday the 19th this is open to fishing 3 different locations for bream, your choices are between Thompson Creek Breamlea, Spring Creek Torquay and Painkalac Creek Aireys Inlet for Bream start time is 9am, All entries must be by photo on a Brag Mat, showing the full length of entry. Thanks to all members who participated at our ladies Day competition held at Lethbridge Lake
on the 22nd of March.
We had 8 seniors and 1 junior competing in the ladies day event, with a further 7 seniors and 6 juniors members enjoying the day as well. Mandy was our winner with a 17cm redfin for our Ladies Day, with a close second from Christine with a 16cm redfin. Ray with a 18cm redfin taking win for the Seniors men’s and Blake winning the Juniors with a 23cm redfin. With around 15 small redfin caught on the day. Thanks to Darren & Melissa who donated a BBQ lunch on the day, it was cooked to perfection! Thanks to Ian King for his assistance on the BBQ as well. Weather was perfect with a light breeze, Congratulations to our winners.
