Three years on, we gathered to remember, to bear witness, and to honour the lives forever changed by October 7.

Through the stories, images and moments we shared, we were reminded why we must continue to speak, to remember, and to ensure these stories are never forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who stood with us. We will never forget October 7.

This week, we were reminded once again of the courage and resilience that runs through our people.

And as we approach three years since October 7, and enter Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, we remember, we stand together and we keep moving forward.

Still here. Still choosing life.

Some images stay with you.

These photographs, taken at Kibbutz Nir Oz by Naama Noy, offer a harrowing glimpse into one part of the story that will be told at our upcoming October 7: A Commemoration & Exhibition.

This is just a preview of a powerful and emotional exhibition bringing together photography, film, artwork and testimony โ€“ creating a space for remembrance, reflection and truth.

Wednesday 7 October 2026
Exhibition opens from 6:00pm.

We remember. We bear witness. We will not forget.

Rosh Hashanah reminds us that a sweet year is not simply something we wish for. It is something we have a hand in making.

In a year that has brought both grief and uncertainty, we enter 5787 with hope, gratitude and a renewed commitment to one another.

May our tables be full, our communities strong, and the year ahead filled with moments of sweetness we cannot yet imagine.

History shows us that anti-Jewish violence rarely begins with violence itself.

It begins with ideas that dehumanise, scapegoat and portray Jews as dangerous or deserving of blame. When those ideas become normalised, violence becomes easier to justify โ€” and when that violence is dismissed, minimised or denied, the conditions that enabled it remain in place.

Breaking the cycle means confronting that hate at every stage, including the narratives that come before violence and the denial that follows it.

Antizionism has nothing to do with Zionism, in the same way that antisemitism has nothing to do with Semitism.

We unpacked this and much more at the evening we had the pleasure of hosting with Joshua Dabelstein from the Movement Against Antizionism (MAAZ) Australia (Movement Against Antizionism AU), unpacking the history and evolution of modern antizionism, and looking at how it is influencing public conversations today.

The discussion was honest, thought-provoking and, for many, a chance to better understand some of the ideas and language weโ€™re increasingly encountering in our communities and online.

Thank you to everyone who came along. We have so much more to unpack and this is just the beginning.

The conversation is changing. Understanding it matters.
