I was on a walking tour in Glasgow this afternoon and spotted this sign.
Inquisitive to know what the meaning was behind this painting on the wall of a building, I asked the tour guide. She explained to me that it’s a special area in the the city that women come together especially to empower and to support each other and make connections.
What a great initiative!

Last night we held our Fashion Parade fundraising event at Hey Layla, Forest Glen. All funds raised from the evening supporting our annual Birthing Kit Project.
It was another wonderful evening filled with fashion, bubbly, delicious food platters, music, a lucky door prize, and plenty of fun and laughter.
Our models were all members who bravely stepped outside their comfort zones to showcase the beautiful new fashions. They did an amazing job on the runway!
Leanne and Olivia had a stunning collection on display at the boutique for the parade, and many ladies went home with some gorgeous new additions to their wardrobes.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and supported this special event and our Birthing Kit Project. 💕

The club held its Annual General Meeting last night, during which two new members were inducted. The nominated committee for the 2026/2027 term comprises Julie Phelan as President, Heather Hagemann as Vice President, and Debbie Anderson as Treasurer, each retaining their positions. Clair Robinson, one of the newly inducted members, was welcomed as the new Secretary, while Michelle MacDonald was also warmly welcomed as a new member eager to contribute to the club's projects. Sandy Gray, a past president, formally installed Michelle and Clair as new members.
Continuing Directors from the previous year include Edwina Ridgeway and Narelle Wockner. Despite being a relatively small club, the outlook for the future is promising, with potential for growth and new initiatives, and invitations are extended to prospective new members.

Last night, a group of members from Maroochy and Caloundra Zonta Clubs came together once again, to show support by participating in the Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence. The ceremony is a moving tribute to those who have lost their lives and those currently living with the consequences of abuse.
The speakers presented thorough and emotional accounts of their experiences, showcasing their fortitude and resilience.

Our Autumn / Winter Fashion Parade showcasing the very latest, seasons fashions by our local Sunshine Coast Fashion Boutique, Hey Layla.
