One world. One heart. One peace. One way — Jesus.

Our footpath theology is back at it. Chalk may wash away, but a good message sticks.

If you’re wandering past St Peter’s today, enjoy the artwork… and maybe the reminder that peace starts small — sometimes right under your feet. Thank you Keith Innes

Justice Doing Justice, Hope & Healing at Our Community Meal

At St Peter’s Community Meal, we believe justice often looks like simple kindness.

Today we stopped to check on a young boy who’d fallen off his bike. A tradie pulled over too. Together we made sure he was okay and helped him get home. It wasn’t big — just people noticing and choosing to care.

Most kindness is like that: a smile, a listening ear, a small act that says, “You matter.” Scripture calls us to “be kind and compassionate to one another.”

This is the heart of our Community Meal — everyday care that builds hope.

Deep gratitude for our incredible team and partners who make this possible — OzHarvest, Banjo's Bakery Cafe and all who give, serve, and show up with love. This week’s menu: chicken pot pie, sausages/gravy, stir fry veg, roasted sweet potato and pumpkin, cauliflower , salad and buttered bread. Dessert was self-saucing chocolate pudding/strawberry cheese cake, custard, and ice‑cream. Our St Peter’s compassionate care support team, and IFYS staff were present again this week, offering care, practical support, and a calm, compassionate presence for anyone who needed it.

Have you ever thought of creating a family fun plan? Here is an idea of creating connection and joy in your family:

In our busy, stressful lives, making time for fun can feel almost impossible. Between homework, inboxes, and full calendars, play is often the first thing to disappear. Yet children remind us every day that fun matters.

They climb, color, laugh, and play with joy. Maria Montessori said “Play is the work of the child,” and perhaps adults need that wisdom too. When we play, we may discover something new about our children, ourselves, and even God’s delight in our joy.

This week, take time to play with your children and notice what you learn. You may see their creativity, humour, or the way they feel most loved.

You may also notice your own heart softening as you pause and simply enjoy being together. If making space for fun feels difficult, it helps to decide ahead of time what delight can look like for your family.

A Breath Prayer for Play

Inhale: I can pause.

Exhale: And play.

Inhale: I can let down my guard.

Exhale: And see the face of God in my children.

Amen.

Our Daily Rev Up! Come Thither This Thursday

Today’s rev-up is brought to you by a scraped knee and a simple act of kindness - shared last night at our community meal.

While driving, we passed a young boy who had fallen off his bike. Something nudged us to turn around and check on him. By the time we got back, a local tradie had stopped too. Together we made sure he was okay and helped him get home safely.

It wasn’t a big thing. No fanfare. Just people noticing and caring.

The Bible says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another.” (Ephesians 4:32)

Kindness is king because it reminds people they matter. A smile, a helping hand, a listening ear, or stopping for a scraped knee can make all the difference.

So today, keep your eyes open. Who might need a little kindness from you? You may never know the impact, but God can use even the smallest act to brighten someone’s day.

Go well, be kind, and let kindness reign today.

Kindness is king. Go and wear the crown well.

Before every Mainly Music session, we gather for a prayer huddle – giving thanks to God, upholding one another and our families in prayer, and seeking God’s blessing for the day ahead. We are reminded that every child, parent, grandparent, carer, volunteer and visitor is deeply loved and valued. We pray that all who come through our doors will know welcome, joy, friendship and the gentle love of God showered upon them. 💛🎵🙏

This week at Mainly Music, our Food for Thought was all about hospitality — welcoming, sharing, caring, and loving one another. As we gather together, we’re reminded that God first welcomes us with open arms, and we have the joy of extending that same hospitality to others 🙏🏻❣️

Our Daily Rev Up! Wednesday Wonders!

At Mainly Music this week I broke out into a full Kookaburra laugh during our “Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree” song. Then this morning I woke to a whole chorus of kookaburras right beside our house, laughing and cackling away.

Now here’s a fun fact: a group of kookaburras is called a riot! And let me tell you, they were certainly causing a riot outside our house this morning—laughing, cackling, and making the dogs bark.

It made me smile and reminded me that God’s gifts are often found in the simple things: a bird’s call, a shared laugh, a moment of wonder that brightens the day.

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

May this Wednesday bring you a holy riot of joy, laughter, and gratitude as you notice the little wonders God places along your path.
