It was great to have Brian present to us this evening.
A massive thanks to him and the great talk and advice he gave!
It was a privilege, and a challenge, to be asked by the Rotaract Club of Greater Hunter to speak to their members tonight, on ways to expand their reach, pursue sustainable growth and provide some general knowledge of Rotary.
Due to a commitment with DG Evan tomorrow, I had to stay unshaved and with long hair - I hope the Rotaractors did not think I was not groomed .... lol.
Amongst lots of hints, I challenged them to let the world know about the club by expanding their reach to get the attention the club deserves.
Starting with a strategic plan, and goals, identifying who they want to attract, building a Club brand that stands out through visual identity, optimizing their online and social media presence, hosting invitational promotions, networking with established Rotary community events that target their membership profile - and constantly reviewing their progress.
The takeaway was to not sit around waiting for people to stumble upon their club, but to Be bold, be visible and be unforgettable.
I genuinely believe this club, that I started in 2018, is finally in the right place to take the small steps that will lead to big growth. I thank Mike Goddard and Narelle Jeffries for persevering with saving and building a club that the young team are handling so professionally.
