A special Thank you
Congratulations and thank you to members who came to Brooms Head and made it a very successful day. The lovely raffle that Margaret and Laurie made up with the trolley was very successful, and we have already covered our expenses, so any ticket sales we make on Macmarket Day will be profit we can put to some of our projects. Thanks you to Geoff and Lisa who must have had writers cramp from writing so many tickets! Well done, Laurie ....the tide was the best its been in years!
We will be having a stall on Saturday (we are usually near the Westpac Bank but not sure this time) Look out for the purple gazebo. If you wish to bring along some things to sell, then please feel free. We will be mainly selling raffle tickets for the trolley prize which will be drawn at the Bowling Club later that afternoon after the normal raffles. We are not selling drinks or food as the purpose of this day is to give the shops a boost in sales. Thank you, Maureen for doing such a great job on Macmarket Day.
Our Christmas raffle prizes all went to locals this year, and our main winner Desley is a nurse at Maclean and Grafton Hospitals. She has been buying tickets in our raffle for four years, so it was nice to go to a deserving winner. The second prize of the bike went to a gentleman who gave it to his granddaughter, and the suitcase prize went to Jack Wallace's daughter Sara: a good result all round. Jack and his wife run the Scouts stall at our markets.
