A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Event #32

This is as good as it gets for photos today, the weather did not play nicely for parkrun today! We still had 27 amazing attendees and 10 volunteers that braved the rain to acknowledge the 'Day for Daniel,' and raise awareness for child safety.

A big thank you to Lisa for her first time as RD, she did an amazing job and we love seeing new faces have a go at the role. Shout out also to Cathy, Ollie, Susan, Carolyne, Darcy, Selga and Don for staying to pack up in the rain, the weather was awful but the team effort was appreciated.

Don't forget to check the roster for next week, see you in November!

Today is parkwalk for Daniel. We honour Daniel Morcombe’s life and legacy by taking meaningful action to help create safer spaces for children, online and offline.

Day for Daniel is a reminder that child safety is everyone’s responsibility. By having important conversations, teaching children how to Recognise, React, Report and being ready to listen and believe, we can all play a part in keeping kids safe.

See you at 7.45am at Breen Ave for an 8am start, don't forget to wear something red!

Breen Avenue Walking Track parkrun is taking part in parkwalk for Daniel 2026.

We are joining parkruns across the country to wear red and educate for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, and we can’t wait to show how we’re taking part on Saturday October 31st.
