Having a gathering for Melbourne Cup Day?
Going away for the long weekend?

We would love you to save up your CDS (Container Deposit Scheme) approved cans/bottles and bring them along to our Girgarre Cottage CDS Fundraiser on Saturday 7 November.

We are running the Kyabram CDS depot, at 117 Albion Street in Kyabram for the morning. You will still receive your 10c per container (unless you wish to donate that to our fundraising efforts) and in addition we get an extra 3c per container.

If you cannot make the day, we still gratefully accept donated containers at The Girgarre Cottage, where we cash them in and put the proceeds towards events and programs we run.

It is with great sadness that we at GFNC acknowledge the passing of well-known and much-loved local, Ken Dunstall. Ken is best known as the man behind Dunstall's Rural Supplies, which had its beginnings in Girgarre. Dunstall's has been and continues to be a highly valued sponsor of our club, for which we are immensely grateful.

Ken was a third-generation footballer at the club, with his son Brent going on to become the fourth generation to play. Ken himself was a talented senior footballer who played mainly on a wing or half-forward flank, possessing both great speed and outstanding skills.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to his wife Glennis, his children Tenielle and Brent, and their families. He will be deeply missed not only by everyone at GFNC, but also by the wider local community.💙🤍

Funeral details:
Thursday the 29th of October at 12pm at the Kyabram cemetery followed by a wake at the Parkland Golf Club at around 1.15 for BBQ.

Rest in Peace Ken.

Girgarre was the place to be on Sunday 11th October!

The Dash, Chook Auction and Market, combined with perfect weather, ensured everyone that came along had the best time.

The Dash was a huge success, with over 50 runners/walkers participating in the 1km and 5km events.

Biggest of thanks to Danii, Leesh, Margret, Kaysha, Will & Ellie for volunteering their time to run the event. Also to the Campaspe Shire Council for their support and Girgarre Development Group for allowing us to use Progress Park.

Look out 2027, as from all the positive feedback, I don't think we have any other option than to run The Dash again next year 😁
