👀 Check out this evaluation of the recently completed Safer Children, Safer Communities program, funded by Westpac.
This unique, place based program led to meaningful outcomes in local communities.

Every community knows its children best. When local people are trusted to lead and given the flexibility to respond to local needs, meaningful change can happen 🤝.

That's what the Safer Children, Safer Communities program set out to do - delivered by local organisations in Condobolin, Caboolture and Port Augusta, and supported by The Benevolent Society and funded by Westpac.

An independent evaluation found these community-led approaches made a real difference - in one community, school attendance rose from as low as 11-20% to 96% within just a few months ❤️.

"Children's safety and wellbeing are strengthened when communities are trusted to design responses that reflect local strengths, cultural knowledge and lived experience." - Linda Griffiths, Executive Director, Child, Youth & Family.

We have an ATO trained volunteer taking appointments at the Kanwal Hub through to October.

Need help lodging your tax return? 🧮
If you earn $70k a year or less and have simple tax affairs, the ATO’s community-based Tax Help program is for you!
Whether it’s to lodge your return, claim a refund of franking credits, submit a non-lodgment advice, or lodge an amendment, help is at hand.

Appointments are available at The Benevolent Society, Lakelands Community Centre in Kanwal, with an ATO-trained volunteer.
