Sinking Ipswich has taken the opportunity to review the documents justifying the "rehabilitation" works: north bank, town reach, Bremer River.
Another code assessed operational works permit: no public input.
The documents are on developmenti, ref # 6029/2025 for those who would like to take a deeper dive.
There is no detailed flood study.
It's clear that the works are being undertaken to protect the Riverlinks shopping centre, and river dynamics 101 will show that this work will be highly detrimental to the stability of the opposite bank.
Oh... isn't that where the Hilton is going?

Stop press. .. has Sardine City's sister development at 48 W M Hughes St been binned?
The applicant has refused to grant the Councol an extension to the descision time for their development application, which means technically the they ( the applicant) now assumes that their proposed development has been REJECTED.
Sinking Ipswich suspects that the next showing will be the Land and Environment Court.
I
We're sure Council will have something to say in the neat future.
