**Feedback extended - Notice of Intention to Sell Surplus Council Properties**

At the February meeting, Council approved to advertise the notice of intention to sell four properties identified as surplus to Council requirements.

Under Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020, Council must give public notice by advertising for a minimum of 28 days the intention to sell each of the four properties.

Council acknowledges that nearby residents were not directly advised when the notice of intention to sell was first released. We recognise the importance of informing those most directly impacted and apologise for this oversight. To ensure all residents have adequate opportunity to participate, the consultation period has been extended to Tuesday 7 April. Impacted surrounding residents will receive letters encouraging feedback early next week.

Council will consider Community feedback received through this process prior to making a final sale decision.

Locations of surplus properties include:

⭐11 Leahy Street, Hamilton
⭐Grosvenor Place, Hamilton
⭐8 David Street, Hamilton
⭐Elizabeth/McPhee Streets, Hamilton

These four properties have been identified as having no foreseeable future Council use and surplus to Council’s needs and suitable for residential development.

Residents are invited to share their comments online at https://engage.sthgrampians.vic.gov.au/notice-of-intention-to-sell-surplus-council-owned-property or in writing by Tuesday 7 April 2026.

For more information, please contact Council’s Property Officer on 5573 0444.

**Mobile Black Spot Survey**

We need your help. Many parts of the Southern Grampians Shire struggle with patchy, unreliable or non-existent mobile phone coverage.

To begin addressing this issue, Council is undertaking a Shire-wide investigation to identify where mobile coverage has been lost, weakened, or was never present to begin with. We are calling on residents to assist with mapping mobile phone black spots across the region.

If you lose mobile service, please note your location and, once back in an area of service, drop a pin on the interactive map and complete a short survey.

To contribute to the project or learn more, head to https://engage.sthgrampians.vic.gov.au/black-spots-mobile-phone-coverage-campaign

The survey is now open and will run until Thursday 30 April 2026, with results to be analysed following the project’s completion.

**Upcoming Roadworks**

We’ll be carrying out roadworks across several streets over the next week to keep our roads in good shape.

What residents need to know:

• Traffic control will be in place to help residents access their homes.
• Our crews will work as quickly as possible to minimise disruption.

Work schedule:

Mon 16 March
• Carmichael St from Skeen St to Clarke St
• Griffin St from Terrill Dr to Carmichael St

Tue 17 March
• Chamberlain Court from Mt Baimbridge Rd to end
• Dryden St from Market Place to Colins St

Wed 18 March
• North Boundary Rd – from Young St to David St
• North Boundary Rd – from Bree Rd to Hensley Park Rd

Thu 19 March
• Fenton St from Holden St to Eddy St
• Flinders St from Dinwoodie St to French St

Fri 20 March
• French St from Thompson St to Brown St
• Cameron St from George St to end

• Strachan St from Norma Ave to the end

Thanks for your patience while we complete these improvements. Your cooperation helps us get the job done faster and keep the streets safe for everyone.
