Exciting news! I am very pleased to advise that Diamond Valley Foodshare has been successful in obtaining funding of $60,000 from the North East Community Fund for our project ‘Upgrade of kitchen and facility areas’!

Our project is one of more than 300 projects the Carroll Labor Government has supported through the $10 million
North East Community Fund, which seeks to support local community initiatives while the North East Link is under
construction. The fund prioritises its support to those most impacted by construction.

Stay tuned for updates!

Thanks to Jon King and the Inner FM team for supporting Diamond Valley Foodshare. We had a great time visiting their studio last week - click here to listen to the full interview!

Jon chats with Michelle Allen from Diamond Valley Foodshare on Knock Offs. We discuss how the volunteer-run is feeding our community in need, sourcing food from local partners, and how you can help out by donating your money, products and time to this worthy cause.

Thank you Eltham Rotary for your generous support!

Diamond Valley Foodshare in Henry Street, Greensborough, has received a timely boost from the Rotary Club of Eltham, with a $2,720 donation helping the organisation buy a much-needed new freezer and stock it with meat for local families in need.
Diamond Valley Foodshare assisted 1,164 clients and supported 2,334 people in the six months from January to June 2026 — a 31 percent increase on the same period last year.
The Rotary donation enabled Diamond Valley Foodshare to purchase a new large freezer for $1,450, with the remaining funds helping fill it with essential meat supplies including sausages and mince. The meat is expected to help support clients for around three months.
Foodshare President Michelle Allen said the donation would make an immediate difference as demand for food relief continued to grow.
“With demand continuing to rise, the extra freezer capacity means we can store and distribute more essential food to the people who need it most,” she said.
Diamond Valley Foodshare is supported by about 65 volunteers, whose work helps provide food relief and practical assistance to individuals and families across the district.
Ms Allen thanked Eltham Rotary for its generosity and community support.
“We sincerely thank the Eltham Rotary Club for helping us respond to growing local needs,” she said.
