🌿✨ Do you feel like you need a break from the digital world?

SCI Germany is organising a volunteer project Digital Detox in the Forest!

At Friedmunt’s Farm, you’ll immerse yourself in a forest lifestyle far removed from everyday life. 🌲 You’ll learn from an experienced botanist who has been working with seeds, plant diversity and organic farming for over 30 years.

You will:

- Look after plants in the garden and in the fields and help with seed preservation
- Live self-sufficiently: fetch water from the spring
- Prepare firewood and cook together on a wood-burning stove
- Experience working with fire through the daily Agni Hotra rituals at sunrise and sunset

Enjoy moments of peace, reflection, and reconnect with nature in a completely different way. 🧘‍♀️

📵 This camp is deliberately designed as a non-digital experience, where mobile phones are left behind to fully disconnect and recharge.

✨ Our incredible volunteers travelled all the way from Japan, Korea and Vietnam to be part of the amazing Goulburn Show!

🎪 The Goulburn Show has been running for over 150 years, celebrating agriculture, horticulture, and local talent. Visitors can enjoy everything from livestock displays and fun rides to live performances, delicious food, and competitions. 🏆

💪 Our volunteers played a huge role behind the scenes, helping set up all the infrastructure, pack everything down afterwards, and support the IVP stall throughout the event.

👏 Thank you to our amazing volunteers for their hard work, energy, and dedication! We couldn’t have done it without you! 💛

🌏🐾 Protect endangered wildlife in Australia!

We are looking for a Camp Leader and 8 volunteers for our volunteer camp in regional NSW to help protect the endangered Southern Greater Glider 🐿️🌿

You’ll work alongside ecologists and local conservation groups on:
- Tree planting & habitat restoration
- Spotlight surveys & wildlife monitoring
- Nest box installation
- Camera & acoustic traps
- Community & school conservation activities

📧Volunteers: Experience not essential but interest in nature a must.
📧Camp Leader: Remuneration to assist with travel and on-ground expenses up to a maximum of AUD $1000 (50% at the beginning of the camp and 50% upon completion of all requirements)

Basic Requirements
- Experience and/or training as a volunteer group leader
- Proficient in English
- Willigness to obtain Work with children check

From 3–7 December, we had the chance to join the SCI International Committee Meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria.

We discussed important topics, took part in workshops 📝, and made great progress! It was inspiring to connect with organisations from across Europe and the rest of the world 🌍🤝.

🍎 What a day!

Smiles, teamwork, and community spirit filled the air at the Tallong Apple Day Festival! Our amazing volunteers made it all possible, coming from all around the world, including Germany, Japan, and Mexico.

Their energy, kindness, and enthusiasm made the day truly special… and the apples were pretty delicious too! 🍏✨
