Hume Conservatorium

Hume Conservatorium Music For Everyone Our mission is to make music meaningful and accessible, to expand musical horizons and explore creativity. We bring the music to you!

We do this in several ways; by offering programs to support music in schools; by working with key community partners; by providing a variety of concerts, master classes and workshops; by supporting cultural development and creativity. From Early Childhood Music Education, through in school music to Adult Education, Hume Conservatorium has something to offer everyone. In 2021, we launched a new col

laboration with UNE to deliver their Bachelor of Music remotely! From singing, guitar, percussion, piano lessons, to electronic music production courses and DJ courses. Find out what the Hume Con has for you by calling 02 4821 8833 or email [email protected] to make an appointment with the CEO (Jacqui Smith) to discuss your musical needs. Hume Con has a clear vision: to enrich the lives of all residents of our regional community through participation in and experience of high quality music and music education.

Music learning can shape far more than musical ability. 🎵🧠

Research continues to show strong links between music participation and academic achievement across core learning areas. But music teachers also know something deeper — well-rounded musicianship is built through both singing and instrumental learning. Instrumentalists benefit from singing, and singers benefit from learning an instrument.

The strongest music learning experiences don’t divide these skills, they connect them.

How is this handled in your school?

Would students ever be asked to choose between two sports… or is this only happening with music?

We’d love to hear your experience 👇
