236 Army Cadet Unit (Northlakes) Gorokan is now taking recruit applications for Terms 2/3 2026.

If you would like to learn military based skills and make new friends in an youth development organisation designed to give you experience and exposure to Australian Army based knowledge and activities, then we are the place you need to be.

Applications can be accepted from 12 years of age provided you turn 13 years old in 2026, and you are in year 7. Online applications via the cadetnet web site by entering 236ACU as the preferred Cadet Unit.

Congratulations to 236ACU cadet promotions post successfully completing recent and past LAI courses. Promotions included Cadet to Lance Corporal (CDTLCPL) and Sergeant to Warrant Officer class two (CDTWO2). All NCO’s were appointed key positions in the leadership group and we look forward in watching these members become instrumental in teaching/guiding and growing in their new positions.

236ACU End of Year parade, celebrating 2025. Cadets demonstrated their cememonial parade drill skills with pride and precision.

The lastest Cadet recruits were also promoted to cadet after successfully completing their 1A recruit induction..

The unit also had the pleasure of Wyong and Toukley RSL sub branch presidents and members attend.

The parade was addressed and inspected by 21 Battalion CO, MAJ(AAC) P Lockwood who presented the 236ACU Cadet of the Year award to CDTSGT J Zofrea and thank you to 211ACU cadet band for supporting the parade.

Congratulations to award recipient and promotions they are well deserved

On behalf of all the 236ACU unit staff we congratulate you all, and also congratulate the whole unit on a fantastic 2025. We wish you the best for the holiday season and we wish the cadets selected for Leadership courses a successful and enjoyable week in January.
