Central Coast Youth Week Awards Youth Leadership, Group Award Winners
The Surf Life Saving Central Coast Young Lifesavers Council is a pioneering youth leadership group, established in 2025 and made up of eight young lifesavers aged 14 to 19 from clubs across the region.

As the first youth council of its kind in Surf Life Saving NSW, they have created a powerful voice for young members, already presenting to senior boards while continuing to volunteer on patrol.

Through bi‑monthly meetings with the SLSCC CEO and Youth Engagement Manager, these young leaders are developing skills in governance, leadership, public speaking and committee participation, while receiving mentorship from senior Surf Life Saving leaders.

They didn’t wait for a seat at the table — they built one.
