Sandy is a gorgeous Border Collie cross who’s been making amazing progress in foster care. He’s ready for a home where he can continue to grow, but it’s important to find someone who’s patient and understanding.
Sandy may take a little time to trust you, but once he bonds, he’s a loyal and affectionate companion. He’s been doing really well with his walks and now walks nicely on lead. He’s also a pretty good communicator. If he wants something like attention, it’s time for a walk or you are late with dinner, he lets you know with his little "snappy snaps."
He’s currently living with large dogs and like to explore the yard and play with his toys. Sandy will do best in a calm household with experienced dog owners who can offer him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable and give him the exercise and training he needs. He’s not suited to homes with young kids.
If you’re someone who understands border collies, cannot put too many expectations in a dog too quickly and can offer Sandy a calm, loving home, he could be the perfect fit for you.

If you have any further questions and would like to meet Sandy, his foster human is available to chat about him.

• To ensure a reply to enquiries about possible adoption, please tell us a little about yourself and your location and contact details. That we can then pass onto their foster carer and the carer will reach out.
• If you are renting your home, please ensure you have approval for a pet BEFORE submitting your application.
• Interstate adoption is available at adopter’s expense. Please contact us for a quote. *Pups under the age of 12wks will not be eligible to fly until 13wks, the carer will stay in contact until the pup finishes its vetting and fly’s out.

🐾 BOSUN ❤️
This gorgeous big boy has been in care since February, and what a journey it has been.
When he first arrived, heartworm positive and scared, he wouldn't come near us for three days! But he made friends with the resident dogs almost immediately, so we figured we'd let the pack show him that this place wasn't so bad.
And once we'd earned that little bit of his trust — BAM! Something shifted.
First came a tentative couch visit. Then a pat… then another. And suddenly our nervous boy had decided that humans were actually pretty bloody wonderful.
These days, this 32kg boy is rarely more than a metre away. Bathroom? Hell yes! Bedtime? Sound asleep on his bed beside you, snoring like a baby rhino. Couch? His favourite place in the world.
Because underneath all that size is a boy who simply wants to be loved.
And once Bosun knows you're his person, his personality comes bursting out. Cheeky, mischievous, affectionate, funny, stubborn in the most adorable way — and incredibly eager to please. Once settled, he's VERY food motivated, which makes training much easier.
So the little things we adore:
❤️ - His entire body wags when he sees you in the morning.
❤️ - The look of pure trust when he climbs onto your lap — yes, he genuinely believes he is a lapdog.
❤️ - The way he deliberately avoids eye contact with the smallest dog in the house to avoid a disagreement. 😂
❤️ - His eagerness to learn and how he comes running every time he hears his name (fair enough, this is mostly because he thinks you have food!).
❤️ - His absolute joy at being included in whatever you're doing.
Bosun is also a fantastic car dog and loves travelling. In fact, he might love cars a little too much — because he will quite determinedly try to follow ANY car leaving the property. 🤦‍♀️
And this is where we need to be upfront.
Bosun needs a home that understands him.
He's still nervous around unfamiliar people and can be easily startled. We don't know his history, but we suspect it wasn't always a happy one.
He also forms very strong attachments. Separation anxiety is something his forever family will need to be prepared to work on, and secure fencing is absolutely essential. If you leave him behind, he will want to follow you — and this is a BIG boy who is determined to be involved!
Bosun is also a country bumpkin, so the sights and sounds of suburban or city life will be pretty foreign to him. Sirens, dogs barking behind fences, car horns, unfamiliar traffic and all those everyday neighbourhood noises may initially be scary. His new family will need to give him patience, reassurance and gentle exposure while he learns that these things aren't a threat.
We've already seen what this boy can do when someone gives him the time and security he needs.
He's also a big, enthusiastic bloke who sometimes forgets he's not a 7kg puppy, so manners and impulse control are ongoing projects. 😂
With dogs, he's fantastic once properly introduced. He lives with dogs of all sizes, sexes and ages and has become best mates with our Maremma/Wolfhound cross. He's a wrestling-and-chasey kind of guy, and introductions need to be slow and calm because excitement gets the better of him.
❌ No cats or small animals.
Bosun isn't the dog for everyone…..And that's okay.
We're not looking for the perfect dog or the perfect person. We're looking for the perfect match for Bosun.
Someone who understands that this enormous, goofy, loving boy has had to learn that the world can be safe.
Someone who will give him boundaries, patience, secure fencing and a plan for his separation anxiety.
Someone who will let him take the time he needs — and then enjoy watching the most incredible transformation.
And most importantly, someone who’ll share the couch.
Because when Bosun decides you are his person… you are his whole world.
Getting to watch this boy discover that he is safe, loved and wanted has been one of the greatest privileges of fostering him.
He deserves a forever home where he never has to wonder about that again.
And somewhere out there, his people are waiting for him. ❤️🐾

If you have any further questions and would like to meet Bosun, his foster human is available to chat about him. To ensure a reply to enquiries about adoption please tell us a little about yourself and your location. Interstate adoption is available with transportation at adopter's expense. If you are renting your home, please ensure you have approval for a pet before submitting your application.

Introducing Puddle, a playful and precious little Poodle X who is as sweet as they come. This boy is looking for loving and attentive owners as he had quite a tough time before coming into care. While in care, Puddle has grown in confidence and if his adopters can continue with his training, they will be rewarded with a wonderful family pet. Like most Poodles, he is very intelligent and a fast learner.
Puddle is a small dog and weighs about 4.5 kilograms but he may gain a kilogram or two as he was quite underweight when he was rescued. During his few weeks in care, he has thrived and now eats a variety of healthy food. At 10 months of age, Master P won’t get noticeably taller - he already has quite long legs.. Puddle sleeps soundly all night, loves to be close to his people and is toilet trained.
Puddle’s fur is as soft and lovely to stroke and his bushy tail is constantly wagging. He will require regular grooming; the photos show Puddle after his fur was cut quite short as it was very long and matted when he was rescued. His foster mum has a before photo to share with potential adopters.
This boy is currently fostered with other dogs, male and female and would particularly suit a home with another dog who will mentor him and engage in play which he loves. While in care, Puddle has also developed a love for walks which he does gently on a loose lead. Because he loves squeaky toys and playing fetch, he is particularly suited to a home with young children. Although he loves exploring the garden, Puddle is predominantly an inside dog and not one to be left alone in the yard for long periods as he misses human and canine companionship. Once he learns to trust his people, he will grow in confidence and become more settled.

Introducing Hugo, a dapper little Dashie who is on the hunt for a new home; he really loves people and has a heart of gold. This little chap is a very chilled and confident little companion dog and immediately connects with people; he is truly a top of the shelf prize. Hugo loves getting attention but is not over zealous or demanding - after some pats and belly rubs he is happy to retreat to his bed for a nap or under a tree to chew on a bone.
Hugo is a silver Dachshund and despite being short, is very agile. He weighs about 7.5 kilograms and is at peak physical fitness. He loves going for walks and waits patiently for his harness to be on. At 4 years old, he has outgrown all potential puppy antics and is fully toilet trained. (DOB 05/04/2022)
Hugo he is currently fostered with two other dogs (male and female) and engages positively with them; however, like many dogs, he guards his food. Hugo is a good watchdog and will let you know if a stranger approaches the house or when the postie arrives but because he has excellent recall, he will come when called.
Although he loves going on walks and exploring the garden, Hugo is predominantly an inside dog. He is not one to be left alone in the back yard for long periods and would suit someone who is home more often than not; he stays close to his people without being too clingy.
If you would like to know more about this special boy, his foster mother would love to hear from you to tell you more about Hugo. If you have any further questions and would like to meet him, please get in touch with the team. To ensure a reply to enquiries about adoption, please tell us a little about yourself, your location and what you can offer this great little companion dog.

At just young age, Tracker is already proving that he’s a little firecracker with a whole lot of personality packed into one adorable Mastiff cross body!
Like many Mastiff types, Tracker has that wonderfully big, sooky personality. He’s affectionate, people-focused and happiest when he’s right where his humans are. This isn’t a boy who is going to be content being left outside in the yard to do his own thing — Tracker wants to be part of the family, included in the everyday adventures and surrounded by his people.
He’s playful, cheeky and full of puppy antics, but underneath all that fun is a big softie who loves attention and affection. He’s looking for a family who understands that bringing home a Mastiff cross means welcoming a dog who will likely think he’s a giant lap dog!
Tracker is currently in care with kids, cats and other dogs and is enjoying learning all about the world around him.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving and slightly goofy best mate who wants to be involved in everything you do, Tracker might just be your boy!
