💄This September, put women’s mental health on everyone’s lips.

Liptember is dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for women’s mental health, while encouraging more open conversations about the challenges women can experience throughout different stages of life.

Throughout September, people across Australia are encouraged to wear a bright pop of lipstick, start a conversation, fundraise or donate to help support research, education, advocacy and initiatives focused specifically on women’s mental health. 💗

Sometimes a simple conversation can be the first step towards seeking support.

💜 Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week 💜

Eating disorders are complex mental illnesses, and there is no single reason why they develop. They can affect people of any age, gender, body size or background - and they don’t always look the way we might expect.

Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week is an important opportunity to increase understanding, challenge stereotypes and encourage conversations about eating disorders, body image and accessing support.

We’re also pleased to share that our Dietitian, Munise, is now a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. 🌿

Munise can provide specialised dietetic support for people experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns, supporting clients with their individual nutritional needs as part of their recovery and care.

If you or someone you care about may need support, reaching out can be an important first step. To find out more about accessing Dietetic support through Macedon Ranges Health, please contact our team on 5428 0300.

💜 Wear It Purple Day | Friday 28 August 2026

This year’s theme, Colours of Courage, celebrates the many different ways courage is shown by LGBTQIA+ young people, allies and communities every day.

Courage can be speaking up and creating change - but it can also be found in quieter moments: being yourself, asking for support, standing beside someone or helping others feel safe, accepted and included.

By wearing purple, we can show rainbow young people that they are seen, valued and supported to be proud of who they are.

At Macedon Ranges Health, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and welcome. Today and every day, let’s choose understanding, acceptance and inclusion. 💜🌈

💜 Bullying No Way Week | 17-21 August 2026

This year’s theme, Small Acts, Big Impact, reminds us that we all have a role to play in preventing bullying and creating communities where everyone feels safe, included and respected.

Small actions can make a meaningful difference:
🤝 Include someone who may be feeling left out
🗣️ Speak up when something doesn’t feel right
💬 Check in with someone who may be struggling
🌟 Celebrate differences and show kindness
👂 Listen and offer support without judgement

Bullying is never okay - at school, online or in the wider community. By looking out for one another and making kindness the norm, we can help create places where everyone feels that they belong.

😴 Sleep Health Week | 3-7 August 2026

This year’s theme is “Explore your sleep. Transform your days.”
Sleep is an important foundation of good health, alongside nutrition and physical activity. It can affect how we feel, think, work, learn and connect with others each day.

Small changes can make a meaningful difference:
🌙 Try to keep a regular bedtime and wake-up time
📱 Reduce screen time before bed
☕ Limit caffeine later in the day
🛏️ Create a cool, dark and quiet sleep environment
☀️ Get some natural light and physical activity during the day

Sleep difficulties can affect everyone differently. If poor sleep is ongoing or interfering with your daily life, consider speaking with your GP or another qualified health professional.

This Sleep Health Week, take some time to explore your sleep habits and identify one small change that could help you feel better during the day.

🏠 Homelessness Week | 3-9 August 2026

This year’s theme, Homelessness Action Now, is a reminder that everyone deserves a safe, secure and affordable place to call home.

Homelessness is not always visible. It can include sleeping rough, staying temporarily with friends or family, living in crisis accommodation, or remaining in an unsafe or unstable situation because there is nowhere else to go.

Homelessness Week aims to increase understanding of the causes and impacts of homelessness, build community support and encourage meaningful action to help end it.

At Macedon Ranges Health, we recognise that safe and stable housing is fundamental to good health, wellbeing and connection.

This week, we encourage our community to learn more, challenge stigma and support the organisations and services working alongside people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Everyone deserves a home - not someday, but now.

This National Pain Week (26–31 July), we're shining a light on chronic pain and offering real support to our community

National Pain Week is Australia's annual awareness event for chronic pain, coordinated by Chronic Pain Australia, which represent the 1 in 5 Australians living with persistent pain. It's a week about being seen, being heard, and connecting with others who understand.

At Macedon Ranges Health, we want to do more than raise awareness - we want to walk alongside you.

We run a FREE 4-Week Chronic Pain Program to support individuals living with persistent pain. Chronic pain can affect so many areas of life - from physical health and daily tasks to emotional wellbeing and social connections. This program provides a safe, welcoming space to learn, share, and build practical tools for managing pain more effectively.

Over four weekly sessions, you'll take part in guided discussions and presentations delivered by qualified health professionals, covering a range of evidence-based approaches to pain management. The group-based format allows for connection with others who are also navigating life with chronic pain - creating a supportive and understanding environment.

You'll gain knowledge, explore self-care strategies, and discover new ways to improve your quality of life: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

📞 Want to find out more or register your interest?
Contact MRH on 5428 0300 or email [email protected]

You don't have to navigate chronic pain alone.
