Move over guard dogs - a tiny pug once saved an entire royal principality from a midnight ambush! 👑🛡️

Back in the 16th century, a loyal pug named Pompey was sleeping in the military tent of Prince William of Orange. When stealthy attackers tried to infiltrate the camp under the cover of darkness, Pompey launched into a frenzy of barking and scratching at his owner's face to wake him up just in time.

Because of Pompey’s quick thinking, the pug became the official mascot of the Dutch House of Orange, proving that massive bravery comes in very compact packages!
