The Anvil Assignment was created by a woman — for other women.
So how is this a men’s mental health charity?
Because “He was the strong one. I didn’t see it coming.” is a sentence we never want another woman to have to say.
Partners are often the first to notice something’s changed — but feel unsure of what to say or do.
This charity is for YOU: the partner, mother, sister, daughter, or friend who wants to help but doesn’t know how.
You’re not alone. I didn’t know how to help either.
I’ve been in your position — late at night, when it’s dark and scary and you know you need to call someone… but who?
Do I call an ambulance? That means police too — and I know he’ll never tell me how he’s feeling again if I do.
Seven men die by su***de every single day in Australia.
That’s over 2,400 families forever changed.
I was almost family number 2,401.
We know it isn’t weak to speak — but what if we could start earlier?
What if we had better tools and stronger conversations before things escalate to hopelessness?
This isn’t just about awareness.
We’re building real, hands-on outreach through blacksmithing, peer support, and practical tools — for the men who need us, and the people holding everything together behind the scenes.
We’re reshaping the way we care for men — and for the ones who carry the weight when no one else sees it.
As we work to formally register The Anvil Assignment as a fully recognised Australian charity, your donations are helping lay the groundwork — covering compliance, insurance, registration, and launching our first outreach programs.
