The Anvil Assignment was created by a woman — for other women.
So how is this a men’s mental health charity?

Because “He was the strong one. I didn’t see it coming.” is a sentence we never want another woman to have to say.

Partners are often the first to notice something’s changed — but feel unsure of what to say or do.
This charity is for YOU: the partner, mother, sister, daughter, or friend who wants to help but doesn’t know how.
You’re not alone. I didn’t know how to help either.

I’ve been in your position — late at night, when it’s dark and scary and you know you need to call someone… but who?
Do I call an ambulance? That means police too — and I know he’ll never tell me how he’s feeling again if I do.

Seven men die by su***de every single day in Australia.
That’s over 2,400 families forever changed.
I was almost family number 2,401.

We know it isn’t weak to speak — but what if we could start earlier?
What if we had better tools and stronger conversations before things escalate to hopelessness?

This isn’t just about awareness.
We’re building real, hands-on outreach through blacksmithing, peer support, and practical tools — for the men who need us, and the people holding everything together behind the scenes.

We’re reshaping the way we care for men — and for the ones who carry the weight when no one else sees it.

As we work to formally register The Anvil Assignment as a fully recognised Australian charity, your donations are helping lay the groundwork — covering compliance, insurance, registration, and launching our first outreach programs.

Would you get naked for Men’s mental health?

The Anvil Assignment is an emerging Australian Men’s mental health charity forging a new path for men - and the people who support them.

Through blacksmithing-based workshops, hands-on outreach, and support resources for partners, we offer connection, resilience, and real tools for navigating mental health challenges. Whether you're a man in crisis, a partner carrying the weight, or a family member unsure where to turn — you're not alone.

You can sit with us.

Welcome to The Anvil Assignment.

This page is dedicated to one simple truth:

Men's mental health matters. And so do the people who carry them through it.

We’re building a charity grounded in connection, creativity, and compassion — offering real tools, workshops, and support for men AND their partners, families, and friends.

We’ve been there. We’ve lived it. And we’re ready to do something about it.

Thank you for joining us at the beginning.

This is more than metal. This is mental.
