Dear Community,

We're writing to let you know that our ADRA food parcel service will be temporarily paused until early September.

We know how much this service means to so many of you, and we don't take this decision lightly. Please know that this pause is temporary, and it comes down to circumstances beyond what we can manage right now - not a reflection of our commitment to you or to this community, which remains as strong as ever.

Because your wellbeing matters to us, we've put together a list of other local services who may be able to support you during this time. We'd encourage you to reach out to whichever centre is nearest you:

After discussion with ADRA Australia Head Office, it has reluctantly been decided to temporarily shut down ADRA Locker Food Pantry, Gatton until further notice. The pantry apologises for any inconvenience that this causes to the community.

Getting ready for Thursday. The ADRA van photographed held subsidised goods courtesy of Tony's Kitchen Toowoomba, and free goods courtesy of Coles North and Coles Plaza Toowoomba (SecondBite). These Toowoomba partnerships as well as businesses and farms in the Lockyer Valley and Foodbank and Golden Circle, Brisbane, enable us to assist the community who are struggling with the costs of living (food).
Feel free to come in to browse or request assistance. We are open tomorrow (Thursdays) from 11 am. till 2 pm.

At ADRA Lockyer Food Pantry in Gatton, QLD, volunteers show up every week to make sure no one in the Lockyer Valley goes without.

Every Thursday, community members can access low-cost hampers alongside free SecondBite donations. Every Monday, ADRA volunteers prepare a community meal for 30–40 people, many experiencing homelessness. SecondBite food also supports breakfast programs at 8 local schools — helping kids start their day right.

Running 10 collections per week across Coles Gatton, Coles Toowoomba North, and Coles Toowoomba South, this partnership has rescued over 25,047kg of food last financial year — the equivalent of 50,094 meals for the community.

Thank you to the ADRA Lockyer team and their wonderful volunteers for the care they pour into their community every single week.

All set for tomorrow from 11am. Vegetables and fruit are also available for $5 a bag/box in the shop area.
Thank you to Tony's Kitchen for helping us transport goods from Brisbane.

Unfortunately we now have to close hamper bookings for Thursday 16th July due to overwhelming demand.
Please feel free to come in for free bread and cheap loose items.
If needing assistance, please come in after 1 pm and cancelled hampers will be distributed. If desperate, we will allocate emergency assistance. If required, we do have some blankets to distribute.

ADRA Lockyer Food Pantry offers a range of services to help the needs of the vulnerable in the Lockyer Valley.
These services include:
1. Provision of food hampers.
2. Provision of free bread and cheap loose food items.
2. Distribution of care packages.
3. Distribution of frozen meals.
4. Distribution of emergency food.
5. Support for 'Kitchen Connect'.
6. Support for chaplaincy breakfast programs.

ADRA Lockyer Food Pantry will re-open next Thursday July 16th for distribution of hampers between 11 am and 2 pm. Please place an order by the end of Monday to avoid disappointment, by texting your name and number of hampers to 0494 145 597. An affirmation text will be received by you once your order has been placed.
