To encourage ethical breeding standards, responsible pet ownership as well as promote the sport of showing all varieties of Dachshunds in Queensland. The Dachshund Club of Queensland has been providing quality service and assistance to all dachshund owners since our founding in 1964. It is our mission to provide such support and information to all dachshund owners whether they be members of the Cl

ub and/or pet owners. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to provide quality information and assistance at all times. Each year the Club conducts a range of activities for its members (and other dachshund owners) including information, handling and fun days. The handling days are designed to provide all dachshund owners with practical advice on general handling, grooming and other informative instruction in keeping with being a ‘dachshund owner’. Owners will be encouraged to not only be good ‘listeners’ but also to take part in the practical aspects of the day. The fun day is as it says a “FUN DAY’ when all dachshund owners and supporters are encouraged to come along with their ‘dacchies’ and take part in a day of frivolity and general comradeship

The Club also holds several other social functions each year including its Christmas Dinner at which all members are encouraged to attend
