Another fantastic Beacon Careers Expo wrapped up!
More than 400 Year 9 and 10 students from Echuca and Moama connected with over 40 local industry representatives at the 2026 Beacon Careers Expo.
A big thank you to our schools, businesses, and community partners for making this event possible and supporting young people to dream big and plan for their future.

Great event this morning at the 2026 Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation Business Breakfast.

A big thank you to the EMBF Board for their leadership and support, and to the Moama Bowling Club for hosting. The 2026 Beacon Leaders did an outstanding job running and hosting the event — a real credit to themselves and their schools — and it was fantastic to see them step confidently into their roles.

Thanks also to our Beacon in-school coordinators who continue to support and guide these young leaders behind the scenes.

The breakfast brought together schools, industry and community to celebrate leadership and the pathways ahead for our young people.

Congratulations to our lucky door prize winner, Brigid Dullard from Network Insurance House.

We loved watching Echuca College 2026 student leaders being officially recognised at a whole school assembly today.

Projector coordinator Cath Elms and Projecr officer Bobbi Aitken were thrilled to be invited to welcome the 2026 Beacon leaders as part of this special event.

So proud to see so many past Beacon leaders take their journey further and lead the school this year. School Captains Mia Arthurson and Dave Lluz get a special mention.

It’s Leadership Development Day!

Our 2026 Beacon Leaders are spending the day at Bendigo TAFE – Echuca Campus, building their understanding of their roles and workshopping what good leadership really looks like in practice.

We believe that good leadership is about more than titles — it's about responsibility, influence and setting the tone for others.

A huge thank you to Jayden Howe, CEO of Committee for Echuca Moama (C4EM), for dropping in to share his insights and experiences on leadership. We value leaders who are willing to invest in the next generation!

Held Tuesday 25 November at the Moama RSL

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening celebrating another huge year for our Beacon Real Futures Program. It was a privilege to come together with our schools, sponsors, board members and community supporters to reflect on the achievements of our young people across 2025.

A special highlight of the night was the first ever release of our new Beacon promotional video, created to showcase the full journey of the Real Futures Program and the incredible impact it has across our Echuca Moama schools. We look forward to sharing this with the broader community very soon!

✅ RIJI COMPLETE FOR 2025! 🎉

Over the past two days, more than 220 St Joseph's College Echuca students took part in Real Industry Job Interviews (RIJI), a massive effort and an incredible achievement by all involved.

This milestone also marks the completion of RIJI across all five of our Beacon schools for 2025, officially wrapping up the in school component of the Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation’s Real Futures Program for the year. What a journey!

We want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible volunteer interviewers throughout the entire year. We are so fortunate to have such a gun team of volunteers who continually go above and beyond for our young people. Your time, your wisdom and your belief in our students truly make a difference. 🙌
