Let's hear it for our Leaders and adult members! It is National Volunteer Week, so it is time to shine a light on the people who make Scouting possible for our youth members ⚜️

Thank you to every adult member who supports Scouting in any capacity, and an especially big BRAVO to our Raceview Leaders and adult helpers who make our group absolutely awesome! ❤️

IPSWICH SHOW - FLAG RAISING
It is with great pride that the Raceview Scout & Venturer sections raise the flags at the official Opening Ceremony of the Ipswich Show.
It is a big responsibility that our Youth Members are glad to accept, and they do a wonderful job every year!

On Day Three of Zoe’s BPSA journey, our Rover Scouts were taking on the stunning landscapes and rugged terrain of Auburn River National Park.

Day Four marked the final leg of the adventure, with our Rover Scouts departing Kingaroy in the early hours of the morning and making their way through Esk before stopping at the impressive Wivenhoe Dam Spillway.

Now that everyone is back home, we can’t wait to see what adventures our Rovers take on next!

Rovers is the oldest Section in Scouts, for youth members aged 18-26 years.

ROVERS - BP AWARD ADVENTUROUS JOURNEY

Day one saw our Rover Scouts travel up North to where they completed a hike leading to a view spanning all the way back to Brisbane City. At the end of a very long day they popped down to the beach to take in an amazing view over the water.

Day two saw our Rover Scouts travel to Gladstone where they took in the wonders of the Bay before heading on out west to start leg two of their Adventures journey out at Biloela.

So far they have traveled over 1400km - and are only halfway done!

Have you ever wondered what life is like at a Major Camp? Here's a snippet - lots and lots of bell tents! Large marquees or kitchen flys for dining spaces, and plenty of pop ups.

This week we celebrated Zara for achieving her Joey Scout Challenge Award!
This is the Peak Award for Joey Scouts (ages 5-7).
It is also very exciting to share that Zara has been awarded her 100km walkabout badge, after completing a 60+km hike in December!

BRAVO Zara!

LEST WE FORGET 💐

Today, we gather with our community to remember those who have served during a war or operational service. We will remember them.

Raceview Scout Group is proud to support the Cameron Park ANZAC DAY Service every year. It is an honour and a privilege to serve our community in this way ❤️

We extend great thanks to all leaders, youth members, and adult supporters who helped during the set up, pack up, and during the service, with special thanks to the Scout & Venturer sections who also held vigil overnight.
