They’ve hit their target – but they’re not stopping there! 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️

A small team of South Queensland cadets – and the Brigade Commander – are putting their hair on the line for the World's Greatest Shave at AFX 2026.

They’ve already raised more than $2,500, and now they want to see just how far they can go.

Last night preparations for our end of year parade started. The parade will mark the culmination of our cadet training, allowing the cadets to display all they have learnt this year.

As the Company Sergeant Major, CDT WO2 Mundy led the flag party and band through a trial run, ensuring their drill was up to the 127 standard.

Recently, 127 ACU had three of our cadets recognised for their hard work. Two of our cadets recieved their Duke of Ed Bronze, and one their Silver.

The Duke of Ed framework perfectly aligns with the core values we live by in the cadets: integrity, service, and respect, while also developing essential life skills such as confidence, resilience, leadership, and teamwork.

By integrating the Duke of Ed into our program, the continues to empower the next generation of young Australians to grow, push their limits, and earn globally recognised recognition.

Interested in getting involved? Speak with your unit OC or reach out - we'd love to see more young Australians benefit from this fantastic program.

We were honnoured to send a delegation of cadets to the Goodna RSL sub branch Vietnam Veterans day memorial.

Remembering past service members, and keeping a close connection to our local veteran communities, is of great importance to the development of our cadets.

Thank you to all who served in Vietnam.

Lest we forget.

Thank you to our cadets and volunteers for helping the Redbank RSL sub branch badge selling.

We take great pride in helping our cadets interact with the local community and introducing them to volunteering.

Congratulations to our recruit class of 2026.

These cadets have undertaken six months of training in the barracks and field environments, showing hard work, fortitude, and commitment to your training. They are now ready to attend the week long annual field excersise with Australian Army Cadets - South Queensland Brigade.

Thank you to CDT SGT Wallace and CDT SGT Minett for your dedication in training our newest cadets.

Congratulations to the cadets who were promoted last week. These promotion shows how much they’ve grown, how dedicated they all are, and how much they’ve worked to earn their promotion.
