127 Army Cadet Unit - Ipswich

Recently, 127 ACU had three of our cadets recognised for their hard work. Two of our cadets recieved their Duke of Ed Bronze, and one their Silver.

The Duke of Ed framework perfectly aligns with the core values we live by in the cadets: integrity, service, and respect, while also developing essential life skills such as confidence, resilience, leadership, and teamwork.

By integrating the Duke of Ed into our program, the continues to empower the next generation of young Australians to grow, push their limits, and earn globally recognised recognition.

We were honnoured to send a delegation of cadets to the Goodna RSL sub branch Vietnam Veterans day memorial.

Remembering past service members, and keeping a close connection to our local veteran communities, is of great importance to the development of our cadets.

Thank you to all who served in Vietnam.

Congratulations to our recruit class of 2026.

These cadets have undertaken six months of training in the barracks and field environments, showing hard work, fortitude, and commitment to your training. They are now ready to attend the week long annual field excersise with Australian Army Cadets - South Queensland Brigade.

🎭💪 Cadet Dress-Up & PT Night 💪🎭
Last night our cadets had heaps of fun dressing up in different costumes before getting stuck into some PT games and activities. It was great to see everyone getting involved, having a laugh, and showing awesome teamwork.

Get your hand warmers out! 🥶

On the cold rainy Thursday night, cadets still show off their special interests across a variety of skills, including banner drill, drumming etc. Cadets were hard at work practicing their banner work, drumming and drill, pushing through the cold to broaden their knowledge and enhance their skills.

Recently our cadets experienced life at Amberley Air Base with a Tri-Service bivouac, hosted by 225 Squadron - Ipswich.

Cadets were able to fly at the Elementary Flying Training School, and see the engineering machines with 6th Engineer Support Regiment.
