It is National Refugee Week.

The Dunkeld Refugee & Asylum Seeker Support Group financially assist quite a few projects directly supporting refugees. Much needed funds are raised through our shop, The Old Bus Depot in Dunkeld. A CRISP group in Warrnambool is one project we support.

CRISP is a government/community partnership resettling whole families from refugee camps, with all the infrastructure and support provided by the local group.

The Old Bus Depot - Open every weekend from 10am to 3pm.

Al Zahra students ( Afghanistan refugees) in Iran. In happier times, receiving goods purchased through The Old Bus Depot plant sales. Girls & boys, who have already experienced war in their short lives, now reliving bad times again in Iran.

Afghanistan refugee children at the Al Zahra school, Iran, receiving sport uniforms, financed by our little shop in Dunkeld, The Old Bus Depot. (shop plant sales =money 4kids)

We know they are okay at the moment, in the war torn country of Iran & hopefully they will survive the unknown future.

Whatever profit the shop makes is returned 80% to refugees, 20% to Dunkeld & district community. Volunteer run DRASS initiative (Dunkeld Refugee Group) . No wages, no rent, all donated products. Open Saturdays & Sundays

Tomorrow, Sunday 8th March, you could also support another volunteer run initiative, Off The Rails Gallery, Dunkeld at their preloved clothing & accessories sale.

THEN visit The Old Bus Depot for other household, electrical, toys, tools, art, craft, gifts, cards, furniture, ornaments, camping, garden & surprises.

Smiles say it all. 😋🫠

Two lovely Sydney hikers found The Old Bus Depot & had a great time. (Better than hiking in 26mm rainfall!).

If it's cold & wet out there, the shop offers a pleasant diversion every weekend 10am to 3pm.
